Reading through this thread as I've recently started modifying my old HF 4x8 trailer. This has been a great resource to figure out how to make the trailer better suited for light hauling of my camping gear and kayaks!
What does SMOD? I'm assuming something something Of Death..
Sounds like the strawberry milkshake problem some 4runners had.
Anything else?
Most trucks I'm looking at are 05-09ish...
Hi all, I am in the market for a truck.
Looking at some Nissan Frontiers currently. I cannot find much information on them. My GoogleFu has not been working well.
I turn to you guys, as people who actually use their trucks would know the nitty gritty!
I have a budget around 10k. Looking for...
I've ditched the cot idea for now. There really is no real support for it, especially for backpacking. I even paper napkin drafted one, and it seemed even that would not be cost effective. I may venture into hammocks even though I said I didn't want to. I've been doing a bunch youtubing on them...
My gear list (so far)
Pack: Kelty Redwing 3100
Tent: Coleman 2 person tent (split between my brother and me)
Sleeping pad: Therm-a-Rest Ridgerest solar sleeping pad, equinox lashing straps for the pad/tent poles(rolled up in the pad)
Sleeping Bag: Sirius (no name/woot.com summer bag) that...
Searched and couldn't find anything specifically to backpacking gear lists. Personally, I'm still putting together a weekend type pack.
Day packs, weekenders, year long treks, what do YOU pack?

I believe this is what you want. I used it to repair a polyethylene Kayak I had. Worked great, was the only sealant that was made for polyethylene that I could find. It works on PPO as well.
Hi All.
I am looking into purchasing a cot, mostly for camping, but I have a potential backpacking trip coming up (Skyline to the Sea Trail http://www.everytrail.com/guide/skyline-to-the-sea-trail ) and would like to take a cot with me. I have seen the Thermarest...
The 3.0 had a headgasket problem.
The 4.0 had some issues as well. There was a big thread on here, and it was with quite a few vehicles that were developing issues at 120-140k.
Dropped the Jeep off on Friday to get a rear bumper/tire carrier made. Traded the hard top for the fabrication. I have a garage now, so I'm not so worried about leaving the soft top on all year. I purchased new door pin inserts, what a difference those made!!
Once tax return monies show up...
I want to see the lights you have to offer...i'm looking for amber/yellow beams that would be decent for fog lights. Waiting patiently for you to get your vendor status and own forum going :D
If you don't want it, I'll take it! I'm looking at a Cargomaster Kongo Cage myself. Lower profile, but it has a bend in the rails to clear the soft top bows. Looks funkier than the one you have, for sure. Any idea what brand that rack you have is?
Took off my hard top. I think it's permanently off. Now I just need fix the stripped windshield holes with some rivnuts before the wind pulls the rest of the header channel bar out. Driving around with no top is fun at 40 degrees though lol.
