Best privacy tent/shower/toilet enclosure? Best compact "toilet" for WAG bags?

After the last multi-day off-road rally I attended with group Porta-pottys, I'm going to be bringing my own. I have a Jeep, so space is tight. I want a privacy shelter to set up along with my tent (yes, I'm a tenter). Easy set up and break down, good in wind, and if I can use a shower in it...

    Fridge mount for F150 bed?

In my 2018 I used 4 L-track domes and bolted them through the bed. It worked, but I had to drill 8 holes in the bed and the domes were something to deal with when sliding cargo in and out of the truck. Are there more elegant solutions for my 2023?

Ideas for cargo in back of Jeep- adding slides for boxes and fridge?

I have a 4 door Wrangler (JKU). It currently has a 3/4" plywood platform bolted down. I have the ARB 50qt fridge with quick release tie downs. I'm now wanting to get a cargo slide for the other side so I can stack in boxes (maybe frontrunner type) and pull them out. I also want a good solution...

Your favorite ground tent that will fit in a Jeep?

I need a tent that will fit in the back of the Jeep, is heavy duty, fast/easy to set up, and tall enough to sleep on a cot. I have a tent collection, but they're super light weight backpacking tents or I have a jumbo 6 person REI dome tent which takes too long to set up solo. I really like the...

ARB threaded power outlet- what kind of plug and where to get another one?

I have my Jeep wired with the ARB threaded outlet (ARB 10900027). I'm planning the best way to run a Lithium battery bank to power the fridge, then use the ARB outlet to charge the battery while driving. I'd rather drain the lithium than my Jeep battery. Is there anywhere in the industry to buy...

Fridge tie down for pick up truck bed?

I'm wondering if there are any better tie down solutions than what I'm running in my Jeep and had in my last pick up. I was using 2" round L-track disks for the ARB tie down straps. It worked great, but I really don't want to drill 8 holes in the bed of my brand new F150. Is there a better way...

    FZJ80 shopping- am I crazy?

I'm stationed in Japan and heading back to the US next summer. I'm "toying" with the idea of getting a '93-98 Land Cruiser to bring back with me. I already have a fully built Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in storage stateside. So this would be the family's second rig and knock around truck...

Trailer build kitchen thoughts. Fridge stays in the Jeep? Sink worth having?

I'm in the day dreaming stages of building an off-road camping trailer. While I love the idea of the outdoor kitchens I see, I like having my ARB in the Jeep. The food and drinks are always with me for a day on the trail, or night if something breaks. It's not hard to imagine unhitching and...

Jackery 1000 vs dual battery vehicle set up for running ARB fridge.

I keep a ARB 50QT in the back of my Jeep. After getting stranded with a dead battery once, I don't trust the voltage cut off to leave the fridge running while out camping with the single battery. Option 1: Genesis dual battery kit, which will cost $600 plus 2 new batteries, another $680 for...

    iPad app for trailer design?

Is there a good iPad app for designing where stuff can go in a trailer footprint? Either 3d or 2d. There’s got to be a better way than graph paper and cutting out scale size camping gear, or is there? I got a fancy new iPad and pen and want to put it to use to plan out my adventure trailer.

RTT and rack recommendations for a 5.5' F150?

Thinking about putting a RTT on a rack onto a short bed F150. We'll have a small travel trailer for the wife, dog and I, but setting up the dinette for the boys every night gets tiring plus I think they'll like having their own "tree house". So the kids can use the RTT. Added bonus, I can...

    Saw an Iveco Massif

In Naples Italy I was dropping my Jeep off to be shipped and this caught my eye. Pretty cool truck. Too bad they made them in 2007-2008, too new to import to the US.

RTT off-road trailer vs. enclosed camper

I know the differences on paper, but what about real world experience from you guys who are living the dream? Towing with a Wrangler. Plan to take it to off-road parks/trails and sleep in the campground or parking lot, but also be able to tow it on overland missions which are mostly rough...

Power pack to run ARB fridge while camping- questions

After camping and having my ARB run my battery down too low and leaving me stranded, I don't quite trust it. Turns out the battery saver was on "low" instead of "high", but even high is 11.8v, which is 35%- too low for my comfort zone. I mostly run the ARB in my Jeep and it now has a single...

Starting from scratch: How to haul and camp w/ 4 dirt bikes and people?

We're soon to be moving out West and buying toys to explore and camp. Everything from Moab to Glamis will be within range. Some trips will be with my Wrangler and camping gear, but my brother and I want to do the dirt bike thing along with camping and take my 2 sons along too. For my business...

Cargo trailer base camp for dirt bikes?

What about a cargo trailer base camp for dirt bikes? My brother and I plan to have KTM 500's and my 2 kids will probably end on some kind of trail e-motorcycles (planning this for 2023). Traveling the west to places like Moab, Colorado, Arizona, Glamis, etc. I was thinking a tandem axle cargo...

Awning idea- extruded track and a folding tarp with poles and guy wires?

I have a Wrangler with hardtop. I can't run a roof rack and awning and still fit in the garage. I'm wondering if anyone makes a removable awning. I can see mounting an extruded aluminum track that an awning can slide into, then use poles and some guy lines and stakes for tension. When...

    Sleep 4+dog: Beef up a pop-up?

I'm in the brain storming phase for our next camper. I tow with a JKU. Need to sleep up to 4 (2 kids) and a dog. I just sold my Casita which was great, but not off-road capable. I'm not going to take a trailer on the trails, but needs to be overland/forest road capable and be an off-grid...

Going on first 10-day "expedition", need help choosing what stuff to bring

I have lots of experience backpacking, camping, tiny RV'ing (Casita), but my upcoming trip is my first "overlander" doing 10 days on the roads and trails across Georgia. We'll have 4 jeeps, but I'm packing like I'm going solo just in case. We have a designated trail chef cooking all the meals...
