Softopper is bought and on. I like it
Anybody ever use the Pro Comp 7069 wheels with 285's? I think the 4" backspace would be about right
I really thought about going with spacers on the stock wheels, because the 1.25" wider stance is exactly what I was going for...but then again, you are looking at 27lb stock wheels and adding another couple of pounds to each, then big meaty tires...you are still out $200 in spacers to get heavier, which just bugs the crap out of me.
I'm going to pony up for some of the FN Wheels 5-star when they hit in 17" - the FN wheels match the old school toyota lines nicely (check his site here: www.fnwheels.com ). Dustin has a 1st gen lifted with his 18" wheels on there.
Here's one with the available 16" 5-stars...and then his with the 18" bfd

Furthermore, he is pretty kick *** to deal with and has good prices on wheels that are strong, hub-centric and oh about 20lb each vs. 27+spacers...
Wow I love those wheels in the 1st picture what color option is that and is it 16? I currently have stock rims and tire size when wheel spacers. I don't mind the set up but I do love to save some weight at each corner.

That is the 16" FN wheel 5-star in graphite.

Yeah, I've got tires that aren't spectacular, but easier to justify keeping 17s on there!
If not I'd be rocking those 16s already...give Dustin an email/call, top notch customer service and communication.
The FN wheels are very popular for the toyo wheelin' crowd it seems, as there are many 4Runner/Tacos/FJs running them - but not many with that 5 Star, which I think is a newer release.
