A write up eh?
Under the hood is a dual battery set up using the stock location, but different battery tray to allow dual Odessyee 1200 batteries, then a hell roaring kit came on board to make it all come together as one.
I am running the Firestone ride rites out back, currently no onboard air so ran the lines to the license plate area. Then put the plate on a hinge to lift up to gain access to air them up. Also at this point because I have ripped the trailer plug off a few times it was relocated there as well.
Added the ARB front bumper but no winch due to the front frame horns being beer can material, so I need to remove bumper and plate the frame horns for a more secure attachment point.
Then went shopping at SFK's website and ordered up a full set of Skid row skid plates. I had the factory front so smashed up it was time for a change.
Then on over to Wheelers and picked up the Total Chaos upper control arms, 3 leaf HD spring pack, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, steering rack poly bushing kit, sway bar bushing kit, the diff drop kit. Also picked up the ICON coil overs, (here is the poopy part they don't tell you they use 600# springs) which maybe just fine for city slicker trucks. I ended up have to buy 700# springs and may have to got to coilsprings.com and have them custom make 800#'s when the winch comes on board. again another FYI factoid the front of these trucks are heavy! lots weight on the front.
I do have a speedometer recalibrator under the dash to correct the minor difference in tire size.
I have had to replace both rear axles bearings seals etc, possibly a weak design plus trailer towing and I use mine off road in the rocks where some want to keep there truck all nice and shiny, pretty. I believe in having a truck that can get you in and out safely and in one piece.
I run a icom 706mkII G for ham radio, a hand held for APRS duty another handheld for monitoring the traveling frequencies and then the ol cb is a handheld thrown in the center console and not used much. along in there is the motorola talkabouts also.
The canopy is a Gemtop work master, This is very hand as your bulky gear goes in back and the day to day items are in the side compartments for easy access. We also use the sides for a pantry while camping, open and all of the food stuffs are right there and out the way for mice and bears to get into.
Sure there is more to come as I rehash whats on board.
