And the fab shop was looking for $4-500 for the brackets - I'm waiting on an email for the specific info for the shop from the OP. I'll post up when he sends it, but I also directed him here.

First of all, your truck is awesome! Hows the weight of the ARB? Do you have a winch mounted in it?

Also, I would love to get the name of your fab guy to see if he would make and ship some brackets for me

Thanks!

Haha well it's been a while since I looked at them. Don't see why ARB just doesn't redo the mounting points in the LC bumper to match tundra. Add a little more metal to fill the gaps and done

I explored that option with ARB and they actually went thru some test fitting. At the end it was told that being an older platform, it did not make sense to them to invest any efforts into this.

Pic with Warn HS9500 Warn winch and PIAA 52O lights. Both (lights and winch) which I've had from my 99 4Runner, to 08 Taco and now on my 05 Tundra Double Cab.

Bump to the top to see if any of the tundrabirds know of any 1st gens with ute style flatbeds on them. I'm seriously considering either buying a ute or having one built. They are just handy

That one was custom built and by far the nicest one I've seen on a 1st Gen.

I agree! I sent him a private message over on TS a few weeks back and haven't heard back from him. He hasn't logged on over there since May.

Sucks because I think he is just down the road from me here in CO

This is why I am thinking about the flatbed option...

Just trying to decide if I should just fix the bed thats on it or go with the aluminum flatbed.

Anybody have an idea of the $2500 Ute would be more cost effective than a custom built bed?

Don't know which way would be cost effective but if there is a ute that you like. It maybe better to go with one done
