Thanx :) ...and a few more....

Sadly it was pretty dry (that´s what the guy in charge sad) but still there were a few nice shots that I could get and Etienne had a lot of fun driving the Rhino as he grew more and more confident with the setup....

Now it´s only 3 more days on the road and then back into the workshop for dismantling. The new brakes are ordered and the new suspension package should be here in the next week or two, too.

What do you want to know?

I am definitly not going to take off my 4 prototype 5" drop boxes ever!
So far 76,249km of travel without problems.

Was testing the new full underbody protection (template) today, too. Will need do modify it a bit but then I can have it fabricated.

The solar kit is working great and I am hopefully finalizing a deal for a new engine with even better emission standards in the coming weeks....and it`ll have 246 bhp :wings:

Please ask any questions, here or PN. If I can I will answer and/or supply the imagery.

I think I need a bigger truck!
Just read the whole thing... wow, good times and what a beautiful rig. Will be following along from here on out.

Sorry guys...had to take reduce the pace a bit and focus on my regular job that has to pay all the bills and finance the dreams, too. It may at times look like I am living a dream, but it´s pretty tough behind the scenes...

There won´t be any new images of the truck for another week or so, but I can give you a sneak preview of the car that I am going to join and report about during the upcoming Africa Race 2012 (http://www.africarace.com/)

I will change my suspension, hopefully keeping my fingers crossed that everything arrives in time, and finish a few other preparatins in the coming weeks, e.g. building a tow-hook as I will be trailering the Porsche 911 Safari to the start of the Africa Race.

So long,

Robert

Erik Brandenburg is going to race his 911 Martini in the Rallye and I am documenting the whole event and do the support for him.

...we´re on the way back now and the 911 Safari really was empty when we had it on the scale....

I am just uploading a few movies from that rallye, too.

Tomorrow I start stripping my LR130CC-R again and preparing it for the Africa Race.
We went through all spares for the 911 yesterday to understand the space requirements and I am really glad that we choose the right suspension setup a few months ago...
