All I can say.

The word "team" was definitely rigns true. At one point on thursday, there was close to fifteen people prepping the FJ (inside, outside, under the hood, everywhere you could imagine). All working towards one common goal.

This experience was truly amazing. I am already looking forward to next year. It was a honor to work with everyone.

Thank you to everyone.

For those that don't know me...I was part of the pit #1 crew, and as my first post on EP, I should say...what an adventure! The 40 hours of no sleep was worth the experience for sure.

Cards were just not on our side and everyone went above and beyond to get the FJ going and then going again. It was amazing to see the size of the pits in relation to some of the high dollar top teams. I think we took first place in those regards. You'd think Von Dutch was driving the rig himself with the amount of support vehicles and the size of the support team, just awe inspiring.

Thanks to all who cooked, and all those who put together this great time (too many names to remember), to Scott, Cain, and Dave at 4WDTO for everything they did to plan the whole thing...and thanks to Brian for the invite. Let's do it again!

I have many pics and a video that I am still working on getting uploaded, and will get the links up as soon as I can.

Sorry about your hard luck. Know it was a great experience anyway.

We're just barely back in the U.S. tonight. Stopped off in El Centro to pick up the ATRV and are heading back to ID via the Alabama Hills, Bodie, and a few NV mining towns.

Are you making plans for any of the BITD races? At least the logistics are on this side of the border. Also, what about the B1K in Nov? 40th Anniversary this year. It should be a banger.

It was awesome to put names and faces together. I had a great time and have plenty of memories from this great experience. I'll post my recap in the next day or two...

We all had a great time as well.

We showed up, not knowing most of the folks and within minutes felt like we were surrounded by our closest friends! Very welcoming bunch for sure!

Thanks to Scotty for inviting us along
Thanks to Dave/Cain for letting us crash at their pad
Thanks to Cains folks for feeding us great grub
Thanks to Everyone for putting up with my non-stop emails before the race
Thanks to Expeditonal Portal for getting such a kickass group of folks together
Thanks to Scotty for proving me wrong on the parts hunt and requiring me to do a cartwheel
Thanks to Everyone that had the "Quitting Isnt An Option" attitude!

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME AND WORKED AS A TEAM!!!

Kudos to Brian for running a smooth, safe, and top notch pit!

Anyone have pics or video of the fuel dump on the Mastercraft TT at Pit 1 please PM me. Someone shot a cool video and their pit boss would dig it!

Thanks

Yes, but US races arent nearly as fun and the BLM really puts a clamp down on the chasing and such! :(

I've got that vid. I've actually sewn it into the rest of the video I took to make one compilation vid...I am uploading it now, but seems to be taking forever. If you do want just the pit stop, I can break it out solo from the cam and get it to ya.

Big KUDOS to Brian for stepping up and taking control when needed.

And I also have video of the pit from a slightly different angle than John. I'll get it to ya somehow.

What a trip! I can't thank everyone enough for all of the help and support. I was continuously impressed by the goodwill and generosity of the folks who met up with us for the 4WDTO race effort. It was humbling to be around so many fine, talented people. I didn't spend much time taking photos as I was busy with the race preps. But I tried to keep my little Canon A85 handy for some snapshots. Here they are

Here is a pic of Boston Mangler (doing the hand signal) and the pit gurus fueling up the Mastercraft truck
