"Pony Express Trail from SLC to Reno"?! I've done a small section and have been wanting to do more. Did you do a trip write up for that?Excellent trip report, I've covered some of those areas in my travels before, particularly the Pony Express Trail from SLC to Reno. The silt beds west of Cherry Creek were un-real, half our group got stuck fighting them, thankfully I was out front and had a clean run, I think some of the others are still cleaning the silt out of their trucks

How did you hear about Heizer's "City?" I first read about it in a great book called "The Void, The Grid, and The Sign" by William Fox

Speaking of which, is there a web site that has a list of accessible "primitive" hot springs in NV? I'd love to do another "spring-hopping" trip across the great basin like I did (with other ExPo folks) in 2009.
