Shrockworks Front Bumper Installed

So, cold or no cold I had to go outside and install my new bumper the day it arrived. It took me a couple days to complete, but really cause I could only work a couple hours each night, then finished this morning. The plan was to dissasemble the truck the first night, assemble the bumper the second, and mount on the third. Turns out I got it "mounted" yesterday and just had to wire, level and torque today. Here's some of the new photos:

What a differance that makes on clearance!

Awesome... I really like the looks of the Shrock front bumpers. I agree about the rear bumper. I would love to see what they can come up with.

ok, so I guess we are never really done. :Mechanic:

My latest addition is the Shrockworks diff cover. This was an easy add and it came right away.

What surprised me was that when I went to put it on the lip of my cover was already tweaked. So I had to do a little metal bending before this would fit. Mostly though, I just used the new diff cover as a press and it straigtened out the cover as I tightened the bolts. I'll have to watch this now and see if it stays dry.

I originally put the 295s on my stock wheels, but they were a little too narrow, IMHO. According to Nitto the approved rim width for the 295/75/16 is 7.5-9.5, but that is true for the 285 as well. My experiance was that they were a little too tall on the 16x7 and once I got them on the 16x8 wheels they spread out and rode a lot better. As far as the truck goes I do have a 6" lift and did have to trim metal to make them work. So it's really up to you and how much you are willing to modify.

Something, Stock LE rims are 17X7.5

good point mike, my stock wheels were 16x8, so if you are running the 17x7.5 on an LE you should be good with the 295's, but may still have to do some trimming. I know it sounds scary at first, but you really can't even notice it if it's done right.
