I'm riding ~45deg weather with nice winter thinsulate gloves, moose riding pants, aerostich heated fleece/darien jacket and a aerostich baklava. -I stay very comfortable.

When it gets cold enough I plug in my ELectric heated gloves.
Grip heaters just don't put the warmth on the top of my hands, where I need it..

When the snow flies I plug in the heated vest!

Our riding season doesn't stop where I live until the 2nd week of Feburary. Then picks back up the 1 st of March.

Tough place to live, but somebody has to be here.
Summers are (cough) nice and warm here too! Remind me some time to show you my Motorcycle Air conditiong system I use on my KLR.

It's cold outside! Time for some better gear and maybe some heated grips finally!

I use 25.00 heated grips off of amazon, cortech scarab gloves, and silk liner, my hands never get more than slightly chilly.

Yeah there's frost on the ground when I get to work in the morning and frost on the saddle when I leave in the evening. Heated grips, thick gloves, balaclava, layers make the 45-60 minute ride pretty comfortable. The snow queen usually arrives at the party sometime between thanksgiving and Christmas and I don't like to dance with her.

A little late to the cold weather gear party, but even as it gets down into the high 20s, low 30s here at night in Northern Az, I stay warm without any heated stuff. A Freeze-Out Balaclava takes care of my face, a Challenger Jacket from British Motorcycle Gear with just a normal performance sweater underneath, and Thermosport Gloves from BMG. I stay comfortable down to about 30 degrees when I am riding at night here. Below 30 I am fine, but the chills start seeping in through the gloves. For longer distances I pack a couple of disposable heat packets to put in my gloves should the cold start getting through the gloves. Only had to do that once on a ride down to Mesa early in the morning when temps dipped down to about 25.

I'm also in the Prescott area and I'm comfortable down to the low 20's without any heated gear or grips, I may pick up some silk glove liners this season to see if they help keep my hands from sweating in my gloves, I also dress in layers. Someday I would like to try a heated vest to see what they are like.

I think I need a bigger truck!
Sweet bike.

I have always liked the KLR, it is my first choice for when I finally do get off my ******** and get one. It is like the Swiss Army Knife of moto... and I like that.
