Suby Forester :hehe:

too funny (your sense of humor ThomD, not the vehicle)

The yard's big enough for a at least a few trailers - 3/4 ac. and plenty of the 'que here as well as some great tex-mex.

videos?

Ron,

I can not get the trailer videos to play... there is no video player window opening when I go to the links.... the Iceland one works but not the Conquest ones.

The video is working for me. As I like to say (about me) ... must be the nut behind the wheel!
Great chatting with you!

Thanks
Dendy

The nut?

OK most of the time I agree, but this time it appears to be a Mac/Firefox issue. The video shows up on Safari... but still not Firefox.

Thanks for your "help" ; )

Its finally here

Took possession of the Conqueror today

(how sweet it is!)

Ended up going with a shipping company as opposed to driving east to get it (seems someone in L.A. purchased a Compact and Dean let me in on the name / number shipper hauling the Compact out west).

What a terrific deal. What a great product. I know there's been the discussions in other threads about AT (I am sure they're awesome) and others, but for what this went out the door for, it is incredible. Heck, I'm sure when I'm too old to climb the ladder, the grand kids will be using it (no, don't have any yet!). The point being, I can't see ever getting rid of this thing. Just need to get a Honda EG in there and maybe that new ARB fridge; I can see that this thing will definitely be around a long time.

Took some photos at the pick up this morning and a few in my garage as I was going through it (will post pix asap).

Hate to use a worn out euphemism but I am one happy camper :jump:

Congrats, Gary; it will look good behind the Hummer.
Nice to see that you're already packing it ---- we're taking a 3-day weekend camping trip off the Cherohala Skyway Feb 20-22... ...got plans that weekend? About 20 minutes east of the intersection of TN-68 & TN-165.

I was just reading another thread this evening about the issues of living in TX and finding decent (meaning a lack of asphalt) back roads to get from point A to B. . . it occurred to me the biggest issue I have is the dang distance between borders living here (most of the state is privately owned and too often the destinations we're interested are always 1+ days drive). For grins, I googled the distance betance home for me and the area (intersection) suggested - Driving directions to TN-68 & TN-165, Tellico Plains, TN 37385 - - - 902 mi – about 14 hours!

Even a drive to Big Bend or the coast is eight hours (but well worth it!) Guess I have geography-envy for everyone who's further west (or east) who can see mountains within a hour's drive. (damn I miss AK).

Been to the Honda Hoot a few times and am familiar with the area your headed. Beautiful country.

I rode my motorcycle to Van TX once to buy tires because the owner of the shop said he'd make fresh popcorn... ...a little over 850 miles each way.
Thank goodness for cruise control.

Thanks for sharing these videos. Gave me some great ideas for my homemade trailer build. Although I am nowhere near as ambitious about the features I need on mine. Cool trailer nonetheless. While I like how tall the tent is, it looks like a PITA to get setup when compared to something like an Eezi-Awn.
