Dual Spares - Pics Inside

Went from a single carrier with gas can to a dually setup. Always something i "wanted" , not really something we "needed" :)

Picked up the new swing arms yesterday. Tire came in yesterday too. So I swapped everything over including the cruisercrap beer cap opener and now we have dual spares.

Might need to work on some additonal tail lights. It's nearly impossible to see the stock units. The Kaymar and the 3rd brake light work for now. The CHP might give me a ticket in the mean time. Also, im going to run the license plate on the rim most likely.

That just looks so kewl! How much wieght do you think you added to the rear of your ride? The lights are a problem, that bites! Nice mod.

That is so completely sick! :)

Even overly agressive California drivers will be afraid to tailgate you! :shakin:

Kaymar was right when they say 33" is the max. Very tight fit. Also, when the swingouts are closed
there's about a 1" gap between the two tires.

Weight isnt much of a issue. I had a c02 tank and gas can on there before.. so the left swingout is probably 30 pounds heavier now. Now i need to find a new spot for my c02 tank.

I have a total of 5 working tail lights. Only 2 are covered. Technically im fine. I just might get pulled over to 'explain' the situation is all. Also, the Kaymar lights are reflective too.

Care to place a wager as to how long i can go without a ticket?

That look really good Dave.

I think you've got the spare tire thing covered and the rig looks ready for a remote trip.

we should plan an Inti trip.

That looks Awesome! :wings: So you have the two taillights in the rear bumper and a third light on the post peeking over the top of the tires right? You should be fine.

Straight from the horse's mouth! CA DMV...

When two taillamps are required, at least one shall be mounted at the left and one at the right side respectively at the same level.

Taillamps on vehicles manufactured on or after January 1, 1969, shall be mounted not lower than 15 inches nor higher than 72 inches, except that a tow truck, in addition to being equipped with the required taillamps, may also be equipped with two taillamps which may be mounted not lower than 15 inches nor higher than the maximum allowable vehicle height and as far forward as the rearmost portion of the driver's seat in the rearmost position.
