Adventureduo, nice shots of the footwell tank! I'm thinking one of these is going in the 80!!

I looks like the 50L Slant would fit in the M416 nicely. Is there a hand pump available for the top opening? Or any other solutions on how to access the water while in the trailer? Thanks !!

We don't have any options for top flow available through us, but I would bet it wouldn't be hard to do.

One idea that was passed along to me by one of the owners of Front Runner, as to fix a schrader valve to the top of the tank and pressurize the tank with the vehicle compressor. Then under pressure the water would come out the lower fitting. That might be an alternative to consider.

Cheers,

I started in on our install last night (not like a difficult one i might add :D) and noticed that our ACE hardware quick release male fittings are too big for the ones that came with the kit. I can't remember if the ACE parts come in different sizes? Metric? Standard? I'll report back when i run over to the hardware store to see.

Test Fitment in our 80 Series...

I have no clue what im going to do with the hose yet.. seems weird to me, no matter where i place it. Also, i kept the rugged floor mat in place for any sudden leaks. Just good to have imho.

The steel bar setup is the African Outback bed extensions that bolt in place of stock mounts for the 2nd row seats. I just took the extensions out for a better view and ease of install. We use that under deck for storage of light items, sleeping bags and other items we don't want crushed.

Any chance you can toss one of the foot wells in the back of your DC Taco and see how it fits with the seats in the middle to back position?

Here you go... Seats in driving position for me (5' 11"):

Right on, thanks Wil. So it looks like it sits nice and flat but the seats wouldn't be able to slide back anymore? I'm a couple inches taller but generally sit a bit forward comparatively. Appreciate you taking the time to do that!

Very interesting. I would like to know if there are different sizes too. I don't want to have incorrect information on the site either. Please keep us informed on this one.

This style of connector is the standard in South Africa, Europe and from what I can tell everywhere but here. The first one to find a solution for the connector was Scott B. in Moab of all places. Walker's, right on Main Street had a brass fitting that went right in. That is why we believe it to be a fairly common option.

The install looks very nice. Low and forward. Great job.

Hey Wil, got any BIGGER photos? :Wow1:

I am glad to see it working in the double cab. Very cool.

Sits nice and flat... it obviously was in the shrink wrap, and the seat coul dhave gone back a notch or two... so I think you would be fine Kurt.

Yeah I can make it bigger! LOL. I was in a rush, caught the post by Kurt as I was logging out and didn't have time to resize it.

Thanks again Wil.

Hey Pablo, any idea how thick these are? They look pretty robust, do you think their will be any issues with a 100 lb beast sleeping, walking, scratching or jumping on them? Meaning are they as thick as say a Scepter or a bit thinner? What about stacking say a heavy tool bag on top of it? Will it deform or crush?

Ok guys, found the problem. I use the ACE brass quick releases for my helton setup, which are too big for this application.

I went to ACE today and found the ones you need for the quick disco on this tank...

$3.99 a two pack. Part# 72375 from ACE They're smaller diameter than the brass style.

Alright, just got done water testing for leaks and putting the tank back in the rig. Also, i didn't use the metal hose holders yet.. i think i'll just keep them tucked instead. The flatter the hose is the slower the water runs and the tank seems picky. If you loosen the fill cap the water will flow faster.

Here's a few pics.. make sure to never loose the little black cap, otherwise the water will trickle out of the quick release slowly. I plan to pick up more of these.
