Great Time!

I was completely new the event, and new to the "Expedition-Scene" in general. This event was 1st class, I had so much fun. Next year I may have to even compete.

I was impressed the amount of trash everybody picked up, this was in about 5 mins. Lance was a great motivator.

while everybody was doing navigation, I did a bit of exploring. Awesome.

the overland route and camp.......great day:

and I saved the best for last. On my way out Sunday morning, just before I got to pavement I got a lesson on water crossing:

Lesson = ditch the escort.

Ha! I ran into the same water challenge. When I got there, the tow truck was winching the car out and we had to wait until the car was recovered. A 20 min entertaining wait. Pretty funny we saw the same car in the water.:shakin:

Turned out it was an old guy that was lost in the night and drove off the stream crossing because he was confused. Luckily he wasn't injured. Maybe time to stop driving at night.
