Yeah, what he said.

The LED's are really great. I haven't bought them yet, but I WILL...OH, YES I WILL. They make a HUGE difference.

Also, Kevin (Boston Mangler), Jeb (Skillet), and myself all have the 44 gallon aux. tank. Kevin even did a super cool Auz guage too. Even though the install is a bit of a pain, it is worth everything.
The only problem is getting them. But, check www.pvcruisers.com he was/is doing orders every now and then.

I second that! One of the best mods i have done to the interior for sure! I also added the NON US OZ spec cargo light that the rig is already wired for, its a super easy install and George makes an LED for that as well. Now, the entire cargo area GLOWS when i open the hatch, most cool when trying to decipher a beer from a diet coke at 1am! :D

Best mod overall that i have done to my rig! Dont know if you have seen it or not, but here is my writeup on the install:

I am getting together another group buy shortly and will post the details. I may be bringing in some other cool OZ stuff as well! If you arent in a huge rush, PM me!

Mangler, do you know of any current sources for the factory rear sub-tank?

And I must be daydreaming or working too hard lately, because I am unaware of the factory rear lights, must go read up.

No, but they arent very cost effective. Specter and Man-A-Fre each have them once in awhile via their garage or used parts sale.

Usually they fetch a pretty penny! I would guess about $800-1000 for the tank, filler neck, etc....

They are only 12.5 gallons and IMHO the amount of work that it takes to install them isnt worth that little extra fuel!

I would think that you would be better much better off with 2 jerry cans, instead of dumping all that time and effort into installing a 12 gallon tank. Again, that is just my .02

They are a non us item and can be a PITA to track down, but they bolt right up and plug right in! Scariest part is trimming a perfect good headliner! :D

Here is some good info on the Non US Cargo light mod: http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=82720

Mark,

Any problems flushing the fluids thus far?
How much red coolant did you end up needing?

Also, don't forget this: PHH

www.1fzfephh.com

OH, how many Outback crossbars did you get? Just two? Or three?

I wussed out and had toyota do the radiator and tranny flush. I hear that two gallons of the red stuff is required. I should have done the radiator flush myself but chose not to. Tomorrow I'll bleed my brakes and flush the ps fluid. I plan on doing the ps flush using the engine off method. I've got most everything but the atf. I bought mobil 1 atf but I read yesterday that many have reported groaning after using that brand.

Has the phh been known to fail pre 100k? just curious, I'm going to do it anyways.

If I do decide to get rid of the jerry can s/o I'll let you know. Most likely I'll hang on to it for a while. At least until I install the aux tank or figure out where to put my water.

And as for the load bars, I ordered two pair for a total of four. I only need three for the tent but half kits are not available. I may figure out something for the spare, if not, it's going up for sale.

45 gallon reserve tank? Hmmmmmm. I have noticed that I can get as little as a few hundred miles on one tank if I do a lot of city driving. I was thinking a couple of 2.5 gallon jerry cans would cut it, but now I'm thinking not, so I might be exploring auxiliary fuel tanks as well. Any ideas?
I have a Long Range Automotive 24 gallons auxillary tank that I've been happy with. It's a good size in between the OEM 13 gallon and the Long Ranger 44 Gallon--doubles the range of my 100. They make it for the 80 series as well and they are about $800 and available through MAF.

Do you have pictures of it? How was the install? My bro is looking into an aux tank for his 03 LC.

I just bought my rear cargo dome light from campingworld and it's brighter than the factory one. Connected it right to the same harness in the back like Mangler did.

I don't know if you can just put new tabs in for the fender or not. But there is always the option of taking the fenders off, which many people have done. The holes get filled in (welded possibly) and most people apply a durabak or rhino type liner along the bottom panel.

Oh, and...
