mine broke recently also. It took the dealer 2 weeks to get my order right, watch the numbers or they will get you the one that is a cap (more common on the new rigs) and not the stalk to attach the breather hose to.

I just got one from a local parts supplier, the nipple was actually a little stouter than what was on there, after 12 years through salty winters I am not surprised this one snapped off.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Parts set out ready to work

Walker exhaust, 2 pieces, y pipe and muffler/tailpipe assembly

Oil change stuff, brake rotors and pads (which I didn't end up need quite yet)

Installed

The exhaust was missing a mount, so we welded some flat stock onto the exhaust and bolted it to the stock mounting location

Here is where I finally ended up mounting the top of the breather tube, if the water gets any higher than this I have other issues than water in my diff. Still need a filter assembly to keep crud/rain water out of there

Looks maaadd! (Sorry, been watching a bunch of MightyCarMods) Is that exhaust an upgrade in terms of flow/performance, or a stock replacement?

Stock replacement, considered going performance but I figured the gains would be minimal and I have done the loud exhaust thing before, quiet is nice sometimes

Good choice on the Akebonos and I hear you (no pun intended) on the loud vs. a quiet exhaust.

My intent is to enjoy nature not tear through exhaust blaring. Ill leave the loud exhaust for cars

I got the rotors and pads off a guy for $80 with 4 plastic centre caps. I figure it was a pretty deal

Nice!

$80 for the pads and rotors is a great deal! how do you like them?

I actually didn't end up putting them on. I couldn't remember how close they were to needing new pads rotors so I brought them anyways. The ones that were (and are) on the truck will last me awhile longer.

Did you ever get your brake issues sorted out ?

Oh gotcha.

Yeah I think the brake issues are more or less sorted out, or at least it's as good as it'll ever get.

Yeah I feel mine are adequate. Don't feel unsafe but there is also no risk of me slowing down the earths rotation when I stomp on them either

one final "mod" before we hit the road

had this sitting in my garage for a few months, I was unsure of where to put it, but I just went for it, seems like a good out of the way spot
