It's funny..... I just read that after I posted it and looked at AEV's site. I'm thinking the ladder off the maximus will fit the AEV rack. I'm willing to be a guinea pig!

It may fit, but I was never a fan after seeing the ladder in person. First it pinches between the hardtop and tub, second the rungs are about 3-4" from the glass and I have size 12 feet :) haha

D'OH! :friday:Oh Yeah! The RTT and awning from Alu-cab. Also any prices would be nice.:REOutCampFire03:

No worries haha, the best solution is to remove the platform and use two Rhino Rack HD cross bars like I did above. This way you can go from tent to bare platform with four bolts! I will be installing this setup on a friend's JK tomorrow and will take pictures.

Goose Gear Install Part I

It's here! Finally after months and months of discussion and brainstorming the day has come. What is in the box? The new and second off the line Goose Gear Plate System, with Ice Box, double stack drawers, side cubbies and 60 delete plate!

Pulling off the lid reveals my co-workers LC100 plate system, getting close.

Goose Gear Install Part III

Installed! With a fairly busy day bouncing between real work and my side "day off" project, it took about 10 hours to install. Fit and finish is top notch and the install went smooth and without a hitch. The finished product (after this weekends road trip to VT) sorry for the dust and handprints. :)

New cargo area looks awesome. Did you keep the custom cargo floor you built? So.. If you didn't , is it for sale? I'm looking to build one like it. That would save me a step.

Best storage solution I've seen for the JKU. Do you still have access to the rear 12v power supply on the side panel?

The 12 volt power supply gets unplugged. Their are several places that you could relocate one with a simple large drill bit. Goose Gear has left this up to the customers discretion do to wiring and personal preferences.

I do have it, but it may not be worth the shipping costs haha

Rino, About your roof rack. I am aware that its the AEV rack but I was looking at a different type of RTT to use. Along the lines of the Tepui and CVT type tents. Would they still be able to mount to that rack fairly easy? Im glad I have read through the last few pages about the roof racks because I was going to go with the Gobi Stealth rack but I dont have a softop and dont ever want one due to the equiptment I will have inside the Jeep. Also is there any specific kayak mounts and mountain bike mounts for the AEV rack that I can use while I am not carrying the tent?
