Is that before the transmission swap? If that's what you got with the auto. Nice.

How much does the diesel weigh?

That snorkel looks so weird on the wrong side of the truck...

Slap me for not going through the whole thread again, but what springs are you running?

Here is a video of the first hillclimb... had to figure out which gear to use. Whether in high or low.
Actually in low and granny gear there was too much torque and the wheels spun in the sand.

made it up the hill in the end, but we didn't tape it.

I started a new project of modifying a late model ETC traction control system to work on a early p38.
meaning that instead of only having rear ETC i'll have full ETC

I went step by step through the wiring diagram
-it looks like the 97 had a relay in the fusebox , and the 02 didn't
that's how it starts.
Most wiring has the same coding, that's great. one can snip the wires to the ECU and transfer them to the New ECU plug.
-The ABS ECU is looped in the relay 17 between pressure switch and ABS hydraulic pump, the 97 isn't. That's an easy enough fix.
-all sensor wiring is the same
-the wiring to the brake block is slightly different. But have the same connection. only difference is that the 97 goes to ground while the 02 goes to ground and to the ECU. easy enough
I want to make a bet that the booster unit is similar if not the same apart form the updated part number.
-Wring to the BeCM remains the same.
-wiring to the airbag control module is slightly different. But it remains to be tested if the function won't remain the same

From the wiring and electronic stand point I think with some mods on the wiring and a later model ABS module the 4 channel ETC is going to work just fine.
I'll buy a 97-02 rear diff and put it in the front of mine. Or buy a truetrac and use my old rear diff in the front. or buy two truetracs and be a happy camper.
But modifying a later 4 channel ETC unit to earlier up to 99 range rover is very plausible.
