Thanks!

Oh ya, the HID lights are far far brighter than the halogens. I also like the white light's output far better. The halogens seems so yellow now that they could be fogs, ha!

I turned them on in the city last night and they were lighting up overhanging tree limbs and street signs a block away with nice crisp light.

i really can't wait to convert my roof to HID's!

Drove out to the country tonight and snapped some pics. The camera does not do it justice because it seems to capture the light that is closer better than far away. So the roof lights are far brighter than they appear here. Also, I find it hard to know exactly how to aim them. They may be aimed up a bit high, but the lights are driving lights so the beam is not reflected in a very tight, long range beam. A couple HID long range lights on the bumper should round it out very well.

Awesome ! definitely on my "to do " list ! My experience: it's best to aim the (driving) lights lower so you see the road (ground) ... Seeing the road & the painted lines further is quite comforting ...

Nice Xterra.
We should find sometime and go off-road/camping together. Me and my wife loves camping and planning several this year.

When I get work all settled I will be able to plan some camping. Looking forward to that. Always happy to camp with good folks!

When/where were you thinking?

Had a coffee meet with Xtrapol8 from thenewx. He has an almost stock offroad.

He snapped some pics and I love the comparison between the stock and the lifted rigs. Makes the work seem worth it.

Not decided yet, still taking options into account... Anything to offer?

Our issue is that with a newborn we won't be taking him offroad this year, maybe next year, and if we go camping it will be in a provincial park with washrooms should things get messy, and boy do they get messy!

In my case it is the same, as I have 1.5 year old son and we're waiting for a second child. So my wife is not for off-road this season and we most going to do camping as it helps her.
