Not on Craisgslist, but worth a look:
NO LONGER LISTED
1989 Dodge Raider $4995 [update 2/20/09 -- price lowered to $3995]
2 door 4x4
3.0L V6, 5 speed, 104K miles
same as Mitsubishi Montero 2 door
The dealer is located in Henderson NV, next door to Las Vegas. The ad claims that the truck is a local (i.e., desert climate) vehicle. Dealer's price is optimistic, more than double the Blue Book value.
Mitsubishi introduced the 2-door 4x4 Montero utility vehicle in 1982. Sold worldwide as the Pajero, modified versions were very successful in the Dakar desert race.
The 2-door Montero was sold in USA from 1982 to 1990. It was offered with 2 and a part-time 4x4 system with manual locking hubs. Initially, power was provided by a 2.6L 4 cylinder engine of 100 hp. EPA rates it 16 city, 18 highway
Chrysler was Mitsubishi's partner in the 1980's. Dodge sold a re-badged version of the 2-door Montero under the Raider name from 1987 to 1989.
In 1989, Mitsubishi added a 3.0L fuel injected V6 engine to the Montero. EPA rates the 3.0L at 14 city, 17 highway.
From the beginning, all Monteros used independent front suspension with torsion bars. The 1989 V6 model changed to coil springs at the rear axle.
Some valuable options, I don't know if these are on this particular vehicle
--off-road package: drivers side suspension seat, headlight washers, more?
--optional limited slip in rear axle
I suspect, but don't know for sure, that parts from the 4 door Montero up to 1992 would fit the 2 door model. In 1992, Mitsubishi introduced the second generation of the Montero/Pajero.
