Extreme 4x4 builds an Expedition Tacoma

That has to be the only time a Jeep wasn't on the show. It's good to see something different for a change though.

Even with the expo gear, its a rock crawler that can go on longer trips. Kind of over kill, but then its extreme4x4

I was looking forward to the build but then I actually watched it and was rather disappointed. It was a rock crawler that they added some expo stuff to. A snorkel for water fording? Last time I checked they were initially for dusty/dirty roads and getting your intake above the dust. I was also disappointed in them putting the fridge in the bed of the truck. Not very well thought out if you ask me. What happens when dirt, rain or snow gets into the compressor vents but then again that's just my opinion. I was good to see them al least addressing the expo community but you can tell that they are Jeep rock crawling people.

I agree with the sentiment of the fridge. They could've just gotten a smaller fridge and stuck it behind the front seats, it being an access cab and all.

Plenty of people run their fridges in the back of their utes here in Australia with no dramas.

I hope their is a third episode to finish off the build. It does seem its all a bit haphazard with the placement of the fridge and storage boxes.

I like the cam can mounting and solar panel rack.

x2, I've had a fridge in the bed of my truck or open top Land Cruiser for hundreds of thousands of miles, all over the western US. Rain, snow, dust, 10 years and running strong. Can't say I've heard of an 'element' related failure via customers either? When mine is dirty, I pressure wash it. No different than a winch or engine, I don't blast water into the guts. If I've been on a super dusty trip I'll blow out the mechanics with the air nozzle.

I guess I feel the way I do about the fridge because I'm a bit lazy and if I wanted a drink I'd like it readily accessible, haha. I know when I drive home to Texas I have a cooler in the passenger seat.

Also, if/when I get a fridge, I'll probably stick it in the bed of the truck as well.

Expo...

He will probably "expo" to Easter Jeep Safari. That would be the last time I would want to be in Moab. Too many people.

Funny they put an ARB snorkel on a tacoma "outfitted" with an STS turbo kit (intake in the rear of the truck under the bed.) I suppose that's almost keeping the driveline stock.
