My house was off grid and when I had my TV on and the fridge kicked in my power would go out because the initial power of the fridge was too much for the system. If the fridge was running and i turned the TV on all was ok. Might have the same issue.
Btw, van is looking really good and love your fridge light, where did you find it?

Not sure those are the best fit. I have 6 of them from by boat just sitting here going bad. They did
not like running my inverter, at all...... True deep cycle batteries will be the most optimal. Just my $.02.

Are they tied into your alternator circuit? If so, have you tried it with the engine running, or while a battery charger is hooked up
to your batteries?

They are hooked up to the alternator but my whole engine bay is apart for the AC install so I can't start it. I had the fridge on with a battery tender on it. No luck. I will try it tomorow with my Jeep and see what happens.

I'm thinking a weak battery. Easy check. Once your back together fire up the van. Check the voltage at the battery you should see something in the 13-14.5 volts with the van idling.

Have the fridge cycle on with your meter on the battery. You probably wont see a drop or maybe a volt at most.

A weak battery can show 12+ volts when no load is on it. But can quickly drop to 11 or less as soon a load is placed on it.

Dont laugh but I really like Costco batteries, not to mention if you have issues with it Costco will take it back.

99.999% sure its a soft battery. I run two group 31 deepcycles in my sailboat. Their Jhonson Controls batteries. I get about 5 yrs out of them then they start doing the stuff your describing.

X2 On Costco Batteries.

I bought my Ambo 2 years ago now. Costco replaced the two dead starting batteries that came in it under warranty. They were dead because the Alternator was fried. The replacements have no trouble spinning the 7.3 in all weather... they even started the rig in the snow, below freezing, and without functioning glow plugs... not a one. No complaints for sure, and I've got at least a year more warranty on them.

Recently I saw Interstate 6V golf cart batteriesat Costco in Seatle... if I could, that's what I'd be replacing my house batteries with. For now, I'm running starting batteries because the "Marine" batteries died after about 16 months. Starting have 36 months of free replacement, and seem to be happier with the 215 AMP Alternator.

Hmmm well I will have to keep that in mind if it turns out that it's my batteries that are bad. We shall see

So I'm kinda at a dilemma. I ordered two water tanks (was only supposed to order one. Ooops) well anyway I decided to run a grey water tank now. So there are two options.

Option 1
Fresh water tank in back with the pump. Should make filling pretty easy

Grey water tank in front. Puts it really close to the sink which will be going on the side door. When it comes to draining it doesn't seem to inconvenient.

Option two is with the fresh water tank up front with the pump. Shouldn't be to bad to fill from the side door.

Grey water tank in the back will make it super easy to drain.

I don't really see any HUGE benefits to either configuration. Any opinions?

Well I know that this picture is pretty much the same as the previous picture but I had an update and wanted to include a picture. I installed the new AC system today. Still need to get it pressure tested and then charged. I got it all back together with the new grill and what not.

I just went through getting the A/C Charged. The hic-up I ran into was that the clutch fan wasn't pulling enough air. I ended up having to replace it also before the A/C could be connected.
