Actually, if you wrapped the cardboard and tape with fiberglass/resin it'd be good.

Haha!!

So here is the new vs old

And now both the new ones.

I'm interested in seeing what they are like at night. Time will tell I guess.

Got some work done on the sink. Still a little bit to go though. Set up the table and started the grill to give me some motivation to keep plugging away.

Nice. We end up in DV every winter on our annual tree hunting trip to the BLM area at Lida summit.

Tested out one of the new lights.

Old ones

One of the new ones just set on the fender.

The old ones are actually plenty bright. I just didn't like the way they looked. These should be more efficient as well.

I have a couple of similar 30 watt lights, and ordered some Star Wars green stuff for them. I finally cut a piece and
tried one out. I DIG IT!

Supposedly, the green light won't attract bugs as bad, and it diffused the spotlight effect, which made it more of a scene light.
Now, I just need to figure out how to mount them with a slight downward angle..... Only a matter of time!

You know, there's more than one guy floating around here with a 3D printer, probably just looking for an excuse to use it. Maybe someone could whip you up some wedge shaped inserts to go between the lights and the ambo to get the angle you're after.

A table saw and some plastic could also do the trick... Or aluminum for that matter. BTW I've also machined aluminum with a carbide bit in a router... A milling machine is easier, but the JobMate and Router did the trick.

Boy you'd really have to be fond of lights to spend the money on those Rigids. Over $450 for just one of those D-series. I could hire an illegal alien, excuse me, Undocumented Resident, to stand around outside holding a freaking lantern for way cheaper.
