I have defected. I have braved the dangers of betrayal and shifted loyalties - sort of. I never was really a Rover guy, I was a Toyota guy who was talked into a Rover. But that is behind us now. Time for a new beginning.

I would like to introduce to you all - Moby

I just bought Moby last weekend and she is still in Austin getting the birfs done in prep for the trip to Los Angeles.

Tyler,
Very nice. No loyalty to Rover only means fewer problems fewer headaches. I sold my 4runner years ago and bought a rover and have kicked myself ever since. Dont get me wrong, I love my 130 but it has been as reliable as my 4runner, it's all the other rovers that I have owned that were crap.

Anyway, congratulations.

I never had a chance

Hey Kevin,
How are you doing? I loved my Disco, but well over $16,000 worth of repairs in the last 12 months (if you include having to replace the cam in the new engine that was just installed) really took the shine off it for me. If Toyota made the Disco II, I never would have sold it.

You will love it! I just got back from a 1200 mile trip in my 97 80 series. I used the lockers at least 10 times. Most of those times just making sure I didn't get stuck but a few needed to get through stuff.

I also spent 14 hours in the drivers seat one day, with 12 of those hours on dirt/rock/gravel roads. I drove to a place that a few people told me could not be reached by car and I would have to hike in.

Good call!

Did I miss this trip write-up?

I can't comment on the LR jack. Mine leaked all the fluid out of it everytime I laid it down to store it - even when new. I was never able to use it once. I hope the LC jack is better.

Never wrote it up! Just a little run out to the SE corner of Oregon! That typical type of thing.

I did hear that the Land Rover comes with an better Bottle Jack than the 80 series though.

If the veggie burger fits....

Well, that is my neighborhood. The whole video is shot within 3 miles of my house or so. I guessing I shouldn't admit that I recognized the inside of "Cheetah's" .... Opps.

Did you know Moby got his name because Herman Melville is his great-great-great-granduncle?

Moby got her name because she's big, white and will likely lead to my own downfall as a result of obsession.

Glad to hear the rig is still doing well. We really miss that one.

Oh well the new one is doing fine.
