No, you're not nuts.Am I nuts for thinking about this? I dont like RTT's and aside from backpacking and back country ski trips I a getting tires of sleeping on the ground. This might not look the part but I am VERY tempted to go this route. What do you think?

noooo. i thinka flipac would be awesome though.
can you not sleep in your 130? i would be wiling to bet there is a lot of room, and i vaguely remember you saying you slept in there on rainy nights anyways? you could also leave the tailgate open if it isn't long enough...
Please wait, or feel free to give me a call, 704.650.6318. I am in route home from Ca after getting a Flip-pac on my Power Wagon. The main reason to visit though was to discuss a Flip-pac for a 110 wagon, or 130 etc. I had the white 130 currently at LR Roaring Forks, and that is waht started this quest. I feel I have an alternative that is both functional and cosmeticly pleasing. Convinced enough I have driven 3k miles in 3 days, and headed to SLC then home for a total of 6k in 7 days- w/ two days barely driving d/t business. Sorry to ramble- brain dead. Dendy told me of this thread, and felt compelled to share albiet a tad prematurely....
No, you're fine !
I wish there were more options, too.
We need a fixed roof solution, but I like the FWC very much.
Since folks are getting all concerned about aesthetics, and there's nothing wrong with that. . . then how about one of these ?

I have been in contact with them and I am sure you would be the first here in the states and, well, you would have to send your car back over to Blighty for the upfit, but it would be sooooooo nice
Cheers,
Frank

With a family of four our sleeping is usually done out in the open without a tent during the summer or in a tent for rain or winter camping. I am looking for a solution to get rid of the tent and get us all in the truck together. I like the FWC set up as I would be able to cook inside.

My current configuration has a fold down table with awning. If I lose the current configuration I want to be sure I am not giving up too much of what I already have.
Doesn't look like it would slide out too easily, which was one of the criteria I believe. Or at least a notable feature he liked. No, you're fine !
