Photography Section Moderator and Editor Wanted

Scott Brady

Founder
Hey all. We are looking for a little help in this section of the forum, and would love to have a long-time member and contributor to the photography section become it's moderator and help with some new projects and editorial we have in process. Not really a paid position, at least initially, but there will be some great swag and other perks :D

Let me know if you have any interest -thank you!!!

Huge thanks to all who replied. I am in the field doing some HDV work all day tomorrow. Will be back in touch with each of you on Thursday.

I could also use some help from that person with the new photo gallery on the home page...

I appreciate the nod Nathan but I'm not throwing my hat into that ring. There's a really good group of individuals who frequent this corner of the portal however for Scott to choose from, all of whom I believe would be good Mods. Yourself Nathan, Brad, Aaron, Michael, Pat, Joash, amongst others. There's no shortage of standup individuals who can, if they so desire, fill the bill.

While I don't have the skills to post or knowledge to comment in this forum, I threw my hat in since I check out all your posts frequently. If I can help, glad to do so.

Boy, Trevor said it right when he mentioned there are a lot of good choices for this. I do not mean to demean anyone but I can say the I've found Pat's and Micheal's threads very helpful and informative, natural teachers. We all know that Pat does nothing but hang out by the water in tropical FL all day so he's got the time:sombrero: Actually, a lot of the "better" shooters here also travel a good amount so that might be an issue.

I'll add a vote for Pat as well, if he's up for it -plus it would be like getting 2 working photographers/editors. :victory:

An additional endorsement for a "long time contributor" - Photog's (Brian) posts I thought had valuable advice back when I was starting to learn using a camera.

So the fact that I'm typing this while sitting at a tiki bar watching some dolphins play out back is a bad thing???

Scott, I'd be game if you cant find anyone else to fill the slot. I'm a moderator on another photography forum, so I know about filtering the spam and quelling the haters. I'm flattered that other members would think of me in this situation. Thanks guys! Next rounds on me

Joash is right. Brian (Photog) would also make a great moderator, although I don't think he's been very active on here lately.

I can only think of one thread in this part of the forum where careful observation of the discussion was needed, and I am not aware of any actual direct moderator action being taken as it worked itself out. I can't identify the thread off hand, but it was that fellow from Florida with some rigidly opinionated views of various gear without much field experience with any of it.

With the excellent group of folks who contribute here, I think being the mod would be a pretty easy task! Go for it Pat!
