Compared to my 100, this build is going to be minimalist. Keeping stock parts wherever possible, and using the lightest possible options. Except drawers. The weight seems worth it.
With so many options, Jeep builds can go off the rails really easily. I usually find myself liking the stock...
I'm not really worried about heat. It never gets above 80 where I live. The interior temperature of the all black jeep we almost bought the same as the outside temperature after sitting in the sun all day.
The white is more for scratches and paint longevity.
Checking back in. The dealer never placed my June 7th order because of the screwy Jeep ordering system. So I've been waiting for July 11th when you can order a Rubicon without the $700 Alpine stereo.
In that time, I've changed my mind about black. I think I'm going to get Expo (expedition)...
Thanks Scott. I'll take a look. I thought deciding and negotiating would be the hard part. Not actually submitting the order.
At this rate, I'd rather wait until the alpine option goes away in July. And get a red one with tan leather and not much else. Use the money for more mods.

Well scratch all that. The dealer did t place the order. Now Jeeps system is making all rubicon orders add a $650 alpine stereo that was standard last year. And in really second guessing getting black. The buying process has been so frustrating that I don't even really want to give Jeep money at...
After reading more about the AEV 2.5 lift. I'd rather good out and get that. But I worry it would look dumb with 32" tires.
I've thought about linking the 8800s channels into a repeater but never actually done it.
I'm not a fan of airbags. I couldnt get the hoses to stay attached. And they...
Because I already own the 8800. I have the beofang uv5+ also. Honestly, that radio with a longer antenna, external mic and car adapter is all you need unless you're concerned with hitting repeaters 5+ miles away.
The wraps would just be clear paint protection film. But it's so expensive, I'd...
[Q UOTE=kojackJKU;1601232]I would go teraflex. I love mine
Leveling kit? How does that work with shock travel?
I'd like to make up for the weight of the drawers, winch and tire carrier and then add about a inch or so for break over angle. As it stands now, the jeep has a lot less clearance...
Ordered. Should get it in August. Should look like this.
2015 Unlimited Rubicon
5-Speed Auto Trans
4.10 Gearing
Dark Saddle Leather interior
Seat heaters
Auto climate control
Side Airbags
Connectivity group (bluetooth)
In the first year or two, I plan to install the following things in...
Today 2015 ordering started. The heated seats come with the leather option. So don't worry, we'll get them. My wife likes them, I pretty much only use them on off-roading trips. Otherwise it's never cold enough to need them here, unless you had the top off.
One of the best justifications I've...
The for sale thread will have detailed underhood, interior, exterior and undercarriage photos. The truck is full of gear and hasn't been washed in Awhile right now.

You could definitely mount the smallest ARB awning to your tail rack.
Otherwise, maybe with some kind of rain gutter mounts on the side?

We made it to the last signature at the Jeep dealer this weekend on a Black JKUR with a matched hardtop, dark saddle interior, every option imaginable. Got the dealer down to 5% under invoice with 1.99% APR. But in the end the cost of all those unnecessary options, and not having the cash in...
The truck is officially for sale. I have a trip that I can't cancel or postpone in Mid-June. So it won't be available for pick up until the week of June 22nd. For sale thread to follow with link posted here.
We're trying to finalize our color choices. Were between white exterior with black fender and top and saddle leAther interior. Or red exterior, black top and trim and black cloth interior with the option of adding tan katzkins or seat covers later. Hopefully getting an order in this week before...
