    Camping Lab?

Fernando is a great guy and normally very responsive to phone calls or e mails. I'd have to think something is going on if he's not getting back to you. I'd say give me another call.

    Roof Top Tent question

I'd suggest mounting the tent for a side opening, most of the folding RTT's are around 48" when folded. Camping Lab offers two grades of tent, their Chinese made tents, and their African made tents. The South African Serengeti tents are a higher quality tent. For two people you will need a...

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

We have looked into the ride height sensors. Off road they present some problems. Some of the sensors rely on a feeler or arm, these tend to get ripped off or bent. They also stop working when covered in mud. The best set up we have come across is a military application where the sensor is...

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

Use ride height rather than pressure. The system will have to work with how you have loaded the trailer. If the left side is heavier than the right side the pressure will be different. As the air bag system has very low air volume the pressure differences can be quite large.

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

Your right they all bleed down over time and require the same maintenance as tires do. I guess I'm talking in degrees, these bags will stay inflated at the correct ride height for a week, rather than for an hour. The big difference between air bags used on a trailer and airbags used on a car is...

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

Craig I don't see a problem using the air bag as a spring either. Ride height on these bags in 5.5 - 6.5" The bags are strong enough to act as limiters, but they allow too much movement and will create sway side to side. The air bag system is going to react a lot faster to movement than the...

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

The specific air bags that Craig has are not prone to leaking. So I don't think that will be an issue at all. The air bag is primarily providing the ride height in this set up. Craig needs to install bump stops and limit straps to keep the total motion under wraps, but I'm hoping that with an...

Eezi Awn 2200 on a JK Unlimited

The 1800 is 145 lbs vs. the 2200 at 187 lbs a increase of 29% There are no 1800 T Tops in the USA at this time. Putting a roof rack and associated gear on any vehicle vehicle is going to raise the center of mass. This issue can be compounded if the vehicle is already lifted and sitting on over...

    Ford 7.3 vs. 6.0 discussion.

The 7.3 is legendary with many engines going 750K miles. The high points are: The engine will run for ever (if it doesn't blow up like my other one did :( ) part of the secret seems to be to change the oil every 3K as it's the life blood of the engine and injectors. For a big engine it has...

    7-pin wiring clarification needed

Unfortunately the wiring diagram you have is not typical, it's and add on to the 4 way plug wiring. More typical for 7 way wiring is: White - Ground Blue - Electric Brakes Green - Running lights Black - 12 volt Red - Left Stop & Turn Brown - Right Stop & Turn Yellow - Auxiliary or back up

    What's everyone using for springs?

Best to stay away from the standard trailer springs, they are too short and stiff. Go for something longer that will actually move, like CJ7 springs, and add a good shock absorber.

Scepter Gas/Water can holder for roof rack?

It's a real shame when a company does something like this. The picture being used to advertise their "copy" is ours, but if you look at their product carefully you'll see that they have a hinge at the bottom of the strap. So technically it makes it "different". But it also shows that they...
