NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

It's all good, I knew it was sarcasm-I tend to see more of the sky falling on the book of faces (never mind the EAS vs coil class wars). Here seems to be a refuge where folks realize the L319 may be one of the best trucks rover ever made. Today was too nice, I went back out. Sent from my...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Photo editor. I should have a better response than this but I basically took those with a new iPhone SE, and then lightly cropped them. Sometimes I turn on the auto but the coloring gets odd, so with these I turned it back off... ...I can be better, but that’s work! On the miles, I’m pretty...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Hit a milestone today. Fitting since it basically marks the end of a chapter, as she’ll be going into the garage for storage for awhile very soon-stay tuned for the next vehicle acquisition(s)! Appropriate that it occurred within about 1/4 mile of here, as we headed back to the house from a...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

That is just a portion of Twin Mountain's collection. Mine is much more modest with just an S1, D1, D3, BMW Dakar, and then the other stuff like a gen 1.5 Taco and such. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Drug Dealer?

I'll say it; I think it looks awesome and great work. (But I'm biased!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best I can do is get you a trace! It's not an insignificant chunk of aluminum, and getting it on wasn't hard but was also typical Land Rover meets aftermarket parts. I wouldn't want to think about shipping costs.

Snagged a gearbox/transfer skid plate. Also used the time to remove the compressor... Great shots of me taking the pics being attacked by the dogs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Drug Dealer?

Valid point on the logging vehicles-which is where I concur about your point wholeheartedly about everything having a place...and a price.

    Drug Dealer?

Is that reason truly applicable to offroad vehicles? At best the answer is in part. I say that because the 85-90% of commercial vehicles in North America with air ride suspensions are on highways (point 1 of divergence), and they also have folks maintaining them as part of their job-which you...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Ah, gotcha. I have a fair amount of trust in the Traxide system-as DiscoNels notes, it really only goes one way and I suppose it could fail but for the years I've had it in play it has shown now predisposition to that despite my heavy handed learning. Is the space on the front left already...

    Does a 2” coil spacer exist for 2008 Lr3 w AB 2” coil conversion?

Negative issues include running tires that look great, but also reduce speed significantly. CV joint strain is discussed, but that's relative-most (not that the N is all that high here) don't seem to dwell on that. The biggest question that has to be asked is 4" of lift in order to...what?

    Does a 2” coil spacer exist for 2008 Lr3 w AB 2” coil conversion?

Throw the SYA spacers being referred to on top, that gets you to 4". Lots of discussion of it on the book of faces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's great info; worth noting that the solar is really just for the aux/fridge relationship. I acknowledge fully that it would be great to have it on the primary side and flow through but that wasn't something I really even thought about when I set it all up. Long before I put the solar in I...

A camera roll full of sunset shots, but why not one more. Good week with the Rovers; oba and oil change on this one, oil change a clean up of Coyote and the S1's seat box is off as we slowly move toward transmission replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

The Velcro route is a good one for any of the bags I noted (or any of the amazon collection of MOLLE tear-away style pouches). Ordering a yard or two of black (or whatever color) loop side Velcro isn’t expensive and provides a good looking base to the back. For extra security just add some...

@Victory_Overland, I have found the NOCO to be more than adequate for the shore power needs. They work quite well with minimal setup efforts, even with the bulkhead plug that I put in.

Coyote; aka my 96 D1 5 speed build thread

Hijacking isn’t minded, hit back on your thread about the slider options. Today, I used the winch...not quite as intended but it kept this insane ladder the previous owner had made to change the bulbs from falling. Fitting that I used Coyote to lower the ladder since she is my method for...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

I would go with option 2 just because there may be times when you are on an angle, need something (tool/recovery gear) and don’t want the whole drawer coming out at you to then have to push it back in. Will be a little more work, but if the Wolfpack’s fit in addition to something like some...
