Well after test driving a couple different toyota's I decided to purchase a FJ. This is just what I was looking for in a vehicle. So glad I came across this FJ. Thanks guys for all the feedback.
All of the 100 series that I've seen around here have to many miles for me. I don't want to buy anything that has over 60 ot 70k. Even though I'm sure one with 130k or 140k is just getting broken in I still can't seem to buy one with that many miles.
Man I wish I could afford a Land Cruiser. I've always looked at them the same way I look at jaguars and porsches. I'm sold on the KDSS system after looking at a couple more treads about it. So I think I'll focus on looking for a Trail Edition 4Runner now.
Thanks guys for all the feedback.
Yeah the A-Trac and KDSS system. I've seen some youtube videos on how it works but do you guys think it would increase the reliability of the 4runner or even make for a better overland vehicle?
Thanks again guys for all the feedback. This is really helping my out, especially since you guys have first hand experience.
I was just looking at a couple youtube videos and came across one about the 5th GEN 4Runner. I saw that the trail edition has all these new electronic systems. Seems...
Well for me I've only have a couple things go wrong on my JK. For instance the drive shaft needed to be replaced around 45k (most likely because my lift is 3.5inch) and right now I just have a lot of weird noises coming from my tranny. Something sounds like its lose and a lot of guys on the JK...
I currently have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited that I'm thinking about trading in for a Toyota. The main reason why I'm considering to trade is because of reliability and comfort issues with Jeeps and I think Toyota is my best option for these problems.
I've already done days of research...
Man I was just checking out your site and I just wanted to say how cool it is to see overland/expedition stuff on the east coast. For a while now I've been thinking about trying to put together some expedition runs but it's hard to fine areas out here on the east coast. I'm down in D.C so I have...
I'm on the search for a roof rack that I can use to mount a rooftop tent onto. So far I really like the Garvin racks but after doing some research I found out that they often crack the body of the jeep(at the rear mounting points). With this finding I no longer want to go with the Garvin rack...
Well, I was going to get a spacer lift to go along with the shocks. My budget is about $800 on shocks. I was looking at the Fox shocks but they seem to be overkill and a waste of money for what I intend on using them for.
I'll just be doing some overlanding/expedition rides once or twice a...
I'm thinking about buying the Pro Comp ES9000 lift kit for my Wrangler. Before I do, I was wondering if this is a good kit.
Here are a couple things I'm hopping to get out of the kit.
-Good ride quality that is just as smooth as stock. I don't want it to be any firmer. Right now with the...
