    1994 Fzj80 Expedition Build

PSI depends on the tire and the weight of your rig. You may have to figure that one out yourself. Here is a good write-up on how to do that: http://www.4wheelparts.com/tire-wheel-package-guide/tire-pressure-checker.aspx

What have you done to your Land Cruiser Today?

Finished preparing the firewall and laid down the first coat of primer. I also think I found the color the body will be. Smurfadelic Monstaliner

    Hello, meet Elsie.

So you are planning on running the bolts from the back? How are you going to get the bolts in with that steering box in the way?

    Iron Pig, The FJ55

Maybe. But an '04 Silverado has a mandrel bent tube frame, the 55 has 2 c-channels riveted together. That causes flex in the frame that will effect stability in towing a heavy load. The Chev is also around 10" wider and 20" longer which would help a lot in towing stability. To my knowledge...

    Iron Pig, The FJ55

That's going to make for a very, very nice 55. My comments on towing are just me being anal. I tow with my 100-Series and I feel it is very much at it's limit. As much as I would love a 55 or LV, I have some serious concerns with towing my 40. Not saying it isn't possible, I would just need...

Is a 100 series the right vehicle for me?

Personally, I would get a crew cab, full size pickup: Tundra, Chev, etc.

    Iron Pig, The FJ55

I'm not worried about the power. That is easy to swap in. I'm more worried about the brakes and chassis stiffness and width. Those items are a little more difficult...

    Iron Pig, The FJ55

I would love to have a resto-modded 55 or 45LV as a daily. I would just need to build it up enough to tow my 40 on a trailer...

Educate me: 100 vs 200 series to replace my jeeps

I haven't driven a 200-Series yet, but I love my 100. I loved my 80 before that. I also grew up in a Jeep family and have owned everything from an MB to an LJ. There is no way I would own another Jeep. The 200 is tempting, but it is quite a bit larger than a 100. I would choose an '03+...

    Fuel milage???? 80 and a 100

Just filled up my 2000 LX470 last night. Uncorrected for my 285's, I got 11.7 mpg... Most of that is in town or traffic.

    Lexus LX470 Rear Cabin Conversion...

Not as glad as me! So I had to move everything out of the middle of my garage (I really wish I had more room), so I took the chance to set my CO2 tank on the curbside wing. It will fit with some trimming, however, I don't know if I could get it in and out with the curve of the truck sides. I...

    Lexus LX470 Rear Cabin Conversion...

Yeah, I need to measure it out and see. With all my hunting preparations, I haven't had time to measure anything yet. I am willing to bet that the tank will fit on the street side (which I would prefer) or possibly where the sink is. My biggest worry (concern? issue?) is the fridge. I'm...

    Fuel milage???? 80 and a 100

Seriously?!? I swear I am the only person that got better mpg's in his 80 than his 100... It might be my driving style and the sound of that 4.7. LOL

    Lexus LX470 Rear Cabin Conversion...

The system actually ended up back in Mike's hands. Since he no longer has a 100, he yanked the plumbing, electronics, drawer slides, etc, and was going to scrape the rest. As luck may have it, I was able to save it before it's demise. I'm so thankful because even with modifying it, Mike saved...
