I don't know if they are still making them, but that was from Hanna Quality. There is a long thread about them on 'Mud.

    70-series Ute in Portland OR???

That 70 is in my work parking lot every couple of weeks. I have put a club business card on it but still haven't seen the guy. It's a nice, LHD truck for sure!

    100 Series Family Adventure Rig

Hmmm. Maybe I need better mounting hardware. The movement isn't between the two pieces of the mount, it's the whole mount moving on the fender. Did you just use self-tapping screws?

    100 Series Family Adventure Rig

Hey! I ended up upgrading my CB antenna mount to the same one that you have. I also have a 4' fiberglass whip and a spring. I haven't been off road yet, but the mount moves a ton! Are you having that issue as well? I go over a speed bump in a parking lot and the mount will move instead of...

    Carburetor VS TBI Fuel Injection

I have ran the off road Holley. It works well with tuning but it was nothing like fuel injection of any sort.

Planning my Escape Vehicle - LC/LX470, GX470 or Tacoma

Okay, back to the OP. I was looking at the same options that you are. The fact that (when I was looking) my daughter was still in a rear facing car seat made the Taco impractical for me. I really liked the GX but there were a few things about it I wasn't sold on (rear door swings out, looks...

Landcruiser (100 series) as a tow vehicle?

Here is the bottom line: My 100 pulls a trailer a heck of a lot better than my Tahoe did. However, it doesn't pull nearly as well as my old Dodge with a Cummins... I wouldn't even consider hooking up a trailer without airbags and trailer brakes. That being said, I don't regret moving to a 100...

Landcruiser (100 series) as a tow vehicle?

Install a good brake controller and some air helper springs from AirRide. You will be just fine. I started out towing my built mini-truck and have moved on to a built FJ40. The 40 is around 6000 - 6500 lbs with the trailer. I also have all of my camping gear and such inside the 100: If...

How to build an 80 on a budget

Darn, we could have shown you some fun wheeling places! To be honest, driving my 80 with 5.29's and 37's made the truck feel like it was stock again. It's only a couple hundered RPM higher at speed than stock...

How to build an 80 on a budget

Oh, speaking from experience, if I were you I would stick with the stock drivetrain. Go with 5.29's, ARB and 37's. Once you rebuild your cash fund, do a PT kit and low range gears. Next step after that would be Longs in the front. Don't bother putting Poly rear shafts in. The stock ones are...

How to build an 80 on a budget

Here is my opinion. If you are going to run 37's and keep the 1FZ, do 5.29's. I found that combo to be great on the street. If you are serious about a motor swap, you can get away with 4.88's and 37's. However, if you are going to swap, you will be $$ ahead by swapping a SBC, 700R4 and...

How to build an 80 on a budget

Ah, that makes sense. I was so ticked off when I broke mine on the trail that I ripped the whole thing out and threw it... Then I fixed my brake line... Then I had to find the swaybar so I wouldn't litter... LOL

How to build an 80 on a budget

I'm suprised you noticed a difference with the front swaybar off. I noticed the rear but not the front... If it makes you feel better, I had to do a 60+ mph emergency lane change in my 80 once and it was fine. Scary but fine. That was with J springs, L shocks, no castor correction, no...
