NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Snomaster Fridge install & first impressions, pt 2 ...and we're back. I used the same style of bolt plates from the previous iteration of installing the ironman into the middle section-pardon the dirt on the black carpet that hides nothing. A keen eye will note the rear bolt plates are...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Snomaster Fridge install & first impressions, pt 1 Returning to the US meant that I now have the wife and the mistress in terms of Land Rovers...with last week's self inflicted wound making it clear in my mind that Coyote is the old reliable vehicle and the D3, well, she's fun but...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Time def worked against me, truck was dead in a lot next to the Ex's house (community center) and was well after working hours in the UK-thus towing was engaged and the problem was offset with the great equalizer...$$$$. Lesson's were learned, and I will def be engaging Gap as I'm fairly sure...

LR3/LR4: How to find the coveted rear locking diff

Chris was asking $38k, but its gone (traded in): http://www.defendersource.com/forum/f8/2013-land-rover-lr4-hse-27-5k-miles-73157.html

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Battery was fine, fully charged. Have re-flashed/updated prob a dozen times without ever having a battery charger on it, highly doubt that's why it decided to freak out. Deep in the depths of d3.uk there was a discussion about the ECU's not liking to be re-written over a certain temp (rarely...

    Disco Door Cards?

If you find a source, let us know after you secure yours. Everytime I go to a pick and pull I look at the D1 cards for the same reason.

PSA; don't try and flash your ECU w/your IID tool above 85deg ambient air temps...that didn't go well... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LR3 sliding loadspace floor

I have a 37 Ironman and a 40 Snomaster (the pic I posted in this thread is the Snomaster), both fit fine and don't leave too much space; would have been nice to do the 50 but honestly didn't think I needed that much.

    LR3 sliding loadspace floor

Best place for it. Sneak preview of the Snomaster that now lives where the Ironman did (Ironman moved to Coyote as its home): I'd still get one of those load space things to build out as a platform, esp b/c in theory you could pop it out and leave it at home for day to day DD'ing.

    Paint My Hood

So actually up and running at a coffee shop vice on my phone, worth reiterating/adding comments. This is what I used on my D1...probably 5 years ago since I did it shortly after purchase of what is now known as coyote: Rust-Oleum Trim and Bumper paint This is what it looks like now: *Great...

LR4 Battery Charging Profile... Measured with IID... really this bad?

FWIW my commute while in Abu Dhabi was about 1.6km, each way-so the vast majority of the time I barely got the truck warm before she shut down. Never had a battery issue while there (and all the same commentary I made about both pri and aux batteries) pertains to life in that environment...

LR4 Battery Charging Profile... Measured with IID... really this bad?

x2 on the alternator. When my truck is running my batteries (both the primary and the one charging via traxide) are running well over 13.

    Paint My Hood

Pull it, as its only 4 bolts and worth having off the truck for a better painting experience. I sprayed mine (rattle can) but did as you describe-blue masking tape and such. Good cleaning, light sanding, and you should be good. The bumper trim rattle can stuff holds up well and doesn't get as...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Awesome shot. Love it out there (it's actually where the wife and I got engaged-though there was quite a bit more snow at the time).

    2012 LR4 Build Thread

I will selectively choose to not pass that info along lest we find ourselves buying another truck-the upside is right now she's knee deep in a PhD program and thus doesn't have the mental bandwidth to really deal with a new Rover. Your truck is looking fantastic. If I may be so bold as to...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Trucker's Friend multipurpose tool install One thing my truck has lacked compared to my D1 is any type of multipurpose tool larger than a Gerber/Leatherman. Somewhere the algorithms of Amazon Prime infiltrated my brain or I'd read somewhere on a plane about a company called Innovation Factory...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Well the initial install shots from the front and the side are fairly illustrative-it barely does (and I personally think the little amount it does actually complement's the rack b/c it offsets the slight rise from the wind fairing). Here's a closer shot to show the slight elevation (which...
