I had one, unless you are on a tight budget I prefer the Cummins for multiple reasons. The IDI couldn't get out of it's own way, a real dog, slow, not having a turbo is brutal. I had a 5 speed with 4:10 gears, adding 35 inch tires only made it worse.

I used a Novacool 12 volt only compressor fridge in my Northstar to replace the 3 way. It uses about 4 amps when running and zero when it's not. Works about a thousand times better than the propane fridge that came with the camper. I do have 2 6 volts at 220 amps total and 250 watt solar panel.

Do you carry a spare? It looked like on your old set up you would have needed two different tires since the fronts and rears where different. Going with 4 tires of the same size would mean only having to carry one spare.
