17" or 18" rims for travel to South America

I can get over 40,000 miles out of a set 295/70/18 inch tires with my camper on the truck 99% of the time and rotating them every 5,000 miles. If you start with brand new tires, I don't forsee you wearing them out. Make sure you have a full size spare though on a rim, after that you could take...

    Xpedition Camper out of Minnesota

Looks like a motorcycle lift in the back? Frame mounted? Also curious about what it scales at. I am currently in Baja driving some back roads and this camper looks like it would be more up to the job than my current set up.

    Dodge Ram 5500 motorhome

Quick question Ward. I am considering a Ram 5500 and torn between going with 4.88 or 4.44 gears. How do you like the 4.44 gearing with those tires? Do you wish you would have went with the 4.88's? Not sure of the math on it, but I would like to end up around 4.10 with the taller tires.

Shock sizing questions for 2016 F-350

Hopefully the shocks fix your problem, if they do report back. The other issue might be the springs, it's a balance between stability and load carrying with a heavy hard side camper vs softer spring rate springs, like those from Carli. Personally, stock springs and a spacer might actually fix a...

xpeditioncamper.com, he is currently building up a unit now to show at Expo. I saw it in person and it looked liked it could really take a beating, and it sounds like it should be priced pretty reasonable.

    WVO Filtration?

I used a Dieselcraft centrifuge, it worked only okay for me, I later sold it. I switched to the bowel style and got much better results. But maybe for what Coechgeo is doing it might work better? I ended up with a WVO designs, that turns 6000 RPMs, it's single pass vs. multiple passes like...

    WVO Filtration?

Absolutely not, no way. The filters will pick up the gunk, but you will be changing them every 500 miles on the side of the road. Not even remotely possible in the winter or just cold. I always felt golden fuel systems was a pretty poor WVO set up. I honestly don't think you will find...

    Dodge Ram 101

If you can remove the emission components and 07.5 and later cummins is not a bad option and will run on higher sulfur content diesel fuels, they have the advantage of being more reasonably priced as well. People think a 5.9 3rd gen Cummins is worth gold, and some people will pay it.
