Frustrated Dealers May Succeed in Getting Corp to Reduce Ram Truck and Jeep Prices

You're correct. "You'll eat bugs and say thank you" seems to be the message of MY PARTY. There's a big hint in there. We gotta do better. Last slightly political thing I'll ever write in this forum. Hopefully.

Frustrated Dealers May Succeed in Getting Corp to Reduce Ram Truck and Jeep Prices

Funny reading about the strong economy schtick in this thread. Full time employment is DOWN, real wages are down. Unemployment numbers are wonderful because of government employment and garbage part time employment. Almost all growth is due to deficit spending and treasury pumping. Real...

Aux fuel tank idea - Tell me why this won't work

I have a 50 gallon aux tank on my rig behind my cab in front of the camper. Ball valve, rollover valve on the tank, a breather and inline filter between tanks. No pump. Exceedingly common setup and perfectly legal in my home state of Utah. It transfers slowly without the pump. Probably at...

Another 2020 Ram 5500 Flatbed Camper Build

Such a great trip Brad. Been following along. Exactly why I built my rig. Now I just have to stop working. Have a year of hard pull until I can piece together longer than 2 weeks. When you were at Tombstone did you do the hike to those crazy wild peaks? That's a dream destination for me. I...

Starlink on overland rack: Old vs New Style?

Homefi? That's cellular based. Starlink uses satellites and has real speeds and internet anywhere. Two different products and not in the same league.

    SOARING EAGLE CAMPER

I've seen these locally for 20k. Project M comes in at 11k, still overpriced IMHO, and you can get an Ovrlnd for about 10k. Not sure what you paid but 20k is too much. Lots of competition in this space right now. Looks like a cool camper for sure.

Flatbed build, clearance between truck and camper? Alaskan and 2018 Silverado

Sometimes it's nice to have some real space behind the cab on a flatbed setup. Good place to add water tanks, recover gear, step ladder that type of thing, especially with a rear entry like yours where it's hard to put anything behind the camper. I would give 3-4" on the cab over and at least 2"...

    Canopy removal

Here's what I did. I bought four 2 inch receivers that are meant to attach to square bumpers on RVs. I bought 2 inch extensions and mounted them to my trailer jacks. They are a brand called "Ram" and they have a 2" hitch tube on the heads. The jacks are rated for 5k lbs. I pulled the crank...

    Canopy removal

I'll upload some pix in a bit. How big are the jack mount holes on the canopy? And can you weld? Doesn't matter much it just means bolts and drills instead of a welder.

    FYI- BAJA NORTE VIOLENCE.

I won't bite for obvious reasons but I'll nibble. Mexico is the 2nd biggest purchaser of American goods. Our economy collapses in five ways immediately without Mexico and the entire left half of our country was at some point Mexico. Mexicans are by and large some of most most wonderful and...

    FYI- BAJA NORTE VIOLENCE.

We've spent a bunch of time recently in Oaxaca because of our connection to the Mezcal industry, and it's nothing short of magical on multiple levels. Not overland thus far. Spent a bunch of time in PV and Jalisco and have a deep desire to get into the areas of Mexico's unbelievable backcountry...
