    daily driver suggestion?

It would probably be easier to add an overdrive to your set-up than doing and engine swap. We have an 109 with the 2.5 NA and with an OD I could keep up with DC traffic when I used to live out there. It was very happy at 65. All of that being said a diesel rover is not a speed demon no matter...

    Land Rover Nicknames

1971 Series IIA is Beaker (after the Muppet) 1981 2DR RRC is Myles (The previous owner was a professional wrestler "Miles Long Beaver Hunter" but Miles Long, didn't go over well with the GF) Sometimes the Series or the Rangie. There have been enough that saying the green one or the 109 isn't...

The Rolling Restoration & Customization Of My 88' Range Rover Classic

Jon, Glad your back. Sounds like you found a keeper, congrats. I would think about replacing the blower motor when you do the heater core. Get it done while you are in there. I would also run a couple of wires to either a remote fuse block (for future accesories) or wire in a couple of...

Thanks, and sorry Dave. :) That is a sweet grill, I must admit to not being a fan of the standard plastic defender grill as well. They just never seem to fit right.

    New Rover owner!

Wow didn't realize they came with 18s. with a 2" lift i used to run 235/85 16s. A really great size for rovers IMO. tire calculator shows a 255/65 18 to be just under an 1nch shorter. With the 235/85s i only had to adjust my steering stops by a very little bit as well. Cheers, Mike and Myles

    New Rover owner!

congrats on your new ride! I say this to everybody, but especially people coming from jeeps, drive it before you decide you need to mess with the suspension. These are amazingly capable vehicles in stock form. You know your type of off-roading better than we do, so I will trust your...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Well the bonus of the "80 lift" is that you only buy two springs, and swap the rears to the front. Its not a full set of FJ-80 springs. There is a flame war, I mean thread on FJ-80 springs on P38. If you want flexy 3" buy the OME 3" lift. I want a little more stiffness in my shocks, but I...

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

Nice 10-15 min sounds pretty good to me. It takes us that long to pull all the crap out of the back of the truck, let alone set it up. :) Recently got a Ben Hur trailler that I am starting to plan out. I might have to steal the unistrut idea. ;) along with plenty of other ideas on here...

vikingsigns, Where does the table store when not in use? How do you have it attached to the side of the trailer. Does it come together fairly easily and quickly at camp? That is some sweet looking cooking space. Mike

    High Mileage?

Its a numbers game. I thought all places had cheap used cars like DC, till I moved to UT. Many Many Many Rovers in the DC metro area, 99% of which have never even seen dirt, let alone driven on it.
