I tried them on a F150 a couple years ago. I went with 285/65/18 on that truck which is the "extreme" version of the ATII. They seem to work good in just about everything except I never really had the chance to try them in deep mud. The balanced very easily with one wheel requiring no weight, 2...
Things I recommend checking; make sure all the fuses are plugged in all the way in both fuse panels, also check the main 12v feed to each fuse panel is secure, check all the grounds ( I would remove the ground and thoroughly clean the grounding point to bare metal than re-assemble), check the...
Nice build! I absolutely love those OBS Fords. I passed up the opportunity many times to buy one in the 2000's and now there doesn't seem like any good ones are left around here. Keep the pics coming.
Amazing build! Interested to see how that p-pump works out.
Maybe I missed it but were you able to retain any dash functionality such as speed, tach, temp and such?
I don't run them (yet) but seen them in person recently at OE west and they look and feel impressive. They also said they are US made which I like. Unfortunately, I left before they were going to do a night time demo so I didn't get to see them working.
Although we didn't camp, my daughter and I didn't mind the mud. We both brought extra clothes and boots because I had a feeling it would be that muddy. Actually, I would almost rather it be muddy than dusty (we both have bad allergies). I was pumped to just be able to make the event at all. I...
Without hearing the clunk myself it's hard to say but I'm thinking it's just the slip yoke on the driveshaft getting a little dry. My 2008 developed the clunk somewhere around 20k but I greased the hell out of the slip yoke and it has been gone since. It's now at 136k.
It sounds like you found...
I will also add that it may help to be very slowly rolling, like 0.5 mph. That trick seems to help my 2008 4runner when it's being finicky.
The other thing you can do is take a rubber mallet and lightly tap the actuator on the transfer case. Note- because the t-case actuator is having signs of...
I feel your pain. 1st daughter's b-day is late april then wife's birthday is may 11th. Toss in Mother's Day too. 2nd daughter's birthday is june 10th and our anniversary is june 12th. My mom's birthday is june 23 as well. Then there's always somebody's kid graduating from high school or college.
There's about 2" of room between the glass and the shade. Depending on what foam you use, you may be able to squeeze a 3" piece of foam in there. I'm looking for a thick piece of foam to use on my 4th gen as well. Not because the sunroof is blocked though. My sunroof started rattling like crazy...
I'm going to guess you have a bad wheel and/or diff bearing. Could also be the front diff is not disengaging when it should. Some other possibilities are, brake caliper sticking, parking brake sticking, bad u-joints.
Thank you.
I Went ahead and just booked a room in Flagstaff. If it were just my wife and I, we would probably stay at that casino but with the kiddos it seems we always "need" something so I'd rather be close to stores. I may do that road (Mormon lake to Twin Arrows Casino) just to do it...
I like the ARB skid idea. May just have to build one myself.
What is the backspacing of your wheels? If it's 4-4.5" you shouldn't need the wheel spacers. I'm not a big fan of spacers anyway though.
I have a question for those familiar with the Mormon Lake/ Flagstaff area.
Long story short, I'm planning on attending this years Expo. Originally it was just me going so I was just going to camp. My wife and kiddos also want to go now which is great except, my wife is not much for camping (...
