Which 3 fuses and compressor run time LR3

Colin- What I am tracking on (and have used to good effect to prevent from dropping to the bump stops) was F3E, F26E, and F35P (E= engine, P = passenger area fuse boxes). r- Ray

Coyote; aka my 96 D1 5 speed build thread

Its nice to be back, esp up north where it is in the 70's vice the 120's. LT230Q's input gear has 38 teeth vice the normal 26 or 28 tooth LT230 from earlier years. From what I read late in the D1 years and for the DII's it was implemented to quiet down the TC a bit. All I can say is compared...

Coyote; aka my 96 D1 5 speed build thread

Summer Road trip prep Returned to the U.S. for some time around the 4th of July, the truck was destined for a long road trip going from VA to WI (and back) so some attention was in order since she sits quite a bit while I'm in AD. Fluid changes, spark plug changes, and the like all done in...

    The AR-15

My latest resting point for a truck gun. When I am back in the U.S. full time I need to suppress it, it's LOUD.

1997 Disco Stock brush guard with winch

If you are going to cut/weld to get that look...consider just cutting/welding to get to the Camel Trophy style look-but maybe that's just my daydream. Congrats on the 2nd Disco pickup with that somewhat rare piece of kit, thats great stuff.

    The AR-15

Just for the sake of content, here's the end result of my 10.5 pistol build. I think when I'm done overseas it will need some stamps, especially a suppressor since shooting 77gr out of this thing is LOUD. Nice handy truck gun though.

    The AR-15

Well this thread devolved. Oddly enough, for what its worth, I was smart/savvy enough to go to school (I studied spelling) AND volunteered my neck for several worthless third world countries. Your posts illustrate why well trained individuals with ARs do just fine against those with AKs...

    The AR-15

So for the sake of discussion, what optic failed? I ask be this subject is a near/dear daily professional convo in my world since I am in one of the few USMC units that is still running iron sights and one of the main objections to going with RCOs is that they can fail-which of course is true...

    The AR-15

It's the effects of the OIF/OEF generation, not video games. While I too grew up on irons and firmly believe the fundamentals of marksmanship taught to me on them were a superb base the reality of a combat proven optic's performance in comparison is impossible to deny. With such limited time...

    Factor 55

Interesting, I have had synthetic for years and never had issue with it getting too dirty. The main reason I run it is safety. As far as why one needs a winch with center dif + locker: mechanical sympathy, save the truck whenever possible for the times when you cannot. At least that's what I...

    Factor 55

That is NOT what the marketing materials say! (Pardon the absence of sarcasm font). While the stuff is bling, and if the OP feels it answers a requirement, great-I still feel like it is a solution looking for a problem. Aesthetically I also have to admit I prefer the hook, but that might be...

Very nice! Am a bit jealous and looking forward to some campsite time myself here in the near term.

The tail of two Discos - which one to get as my first off-roader/overlanding vehicle?

Concur on Defender source, Galen's 5speed D1 is worth taking a look at in the classifieds overs there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing wrong with overkill with gear, I think that is true about many of us. I like your setup, very clean and modular-that organization has to help when setting up/tearing down, especially while the little runs are running around. I too keep some stuff in the 3rd row footwell but have found...

I like the setup, very clean looking and secure too. The middle seat removal is perfect for a 40l fridge, and having one is probably the best mod I have done for camping/wheeling/etc. edit: Makes for good separation between those in the back seat too:

The tail of two Discos - which one to get as my first off-roader/overlanding vehicle?

I will echo everyone else and just say go with the 95, far better to start with a great platform like that and learn what you need to modify (which is honestly very little) vs trying to make that Dii right. r- Ray

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Hmmm, I see myself standing around my truck mulling locations more! I will probably try the initial LED setup since I have them on hand and don't want too much light anyway but your idea would be a cool way to cast more light too. Anyway you slice it I think the idea of putting some lights...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Jerry- Pardon the absurd pic with the wife and friend eating lunch in it, I don't actually have many shots of the upper tailgate open-this is in fact it. This shows the basic thought I had where the white dots are LEDs put on the upper plastic trim piece: The plastic trim piece there comes...
