They are great vehicles. I am half tempted to build our '22 but I am getting great use out of it as a commuter at the moment in stock form. Momma should be getting her new GX550 Overtrail in the next 8-16 months so I might consider lifting and building this one out at that time.
It might have dropped it 1mpg at most. Most of your fuel economy hit will come from the larger tires on these trucks. Noise wasn't that bad, again, the larger tires create the most noise. I really liked that rack and recommend it. I had no idea they were blowing them out.
I know nothing about the lawsuit nor have I had any dealings with them in nearly a decade so I can't speak to any personal experience. I can say that two friends have had good experiences but that doesn't nullify all of those that haven't. I guess they should consider themselves lucky and steer...
Not sure how many trucks they build for municipalities, but they do supply the wheels for a large portion of the 450/4500+ trucks used by companies to build such trucks. Not sure if Skeeter Brush Trucks is still in bed with them?!
Wild stuff indeed. Crazy because I have two buddies who have had polar opposite experiences with their work in the past. Sad to see this happen. I hope you do pursue legal recourse, it's the only way to put the squeeze on someone unwilling to take care of their mistakes.
I have a set of King 2.5's from Accu-Tune with their custom Adventure Tune on the way. After talking it over with a few friends that have both I felt like the Kings were the way for me to go for a couple of reasons. 1)They are cheaper than the Fox by nearly $700/set, 2)They have a slightly...
I have seen them on the lot at PrincessCraft in Round Rock/Austin and it appears that they are still a dealer. They have a few with $15-22K discounts at the moment as well.
This ugly thing has been lying around for nearly half a year now so I figured I should install it and give it a shot. Not gonna lie, it's growing on me rather quickly. This should help cut down on the rock chips/dings and bugs.
I had an Airstream in the family, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole, what an overpriced turd. But hey, that's just me. We love FGRV's and I don't care for slides nor do I need a full dry bath, that's way overrated IMHO and for how often (or little) I actually use it. It'll be an Escape...
The exterior accessible interior space found on the Oliver's and Escapes is a large part of why we would like to upgrade besides the obvious increase in width and length which translates to more interior space. You lose most of the exterior accessible interior storage when you move to the larger...
Agreed, the full-time attached cord sucks and should've been ditched by them decades ago. I made a big stink about it (along with a few other things) when we took delivery of ours last year and low and behold this year all of those are now standard or options, go figure lol. I am replacing the...
That's a great price but I have to assume it's at least 10 years old at that price?! And no one can tell you what to do with your money because everyone's situation is different but all I know is that you can't take it with you and you're alive and well and willing to travel now. Don't let...
I went over to the camper in storage this afternoon to check on a few things. Outside temp was 32F, inside temp of the trailer with it off was 44F. I was going to be there for 30mins or more so I figured I'd plug the trailer in and do a test on the furnace and warm my bits up in the process. I...
I am seeing anywhere between $9-15K off of sticker listed on inventory RAM 2500/3500's in my area. If I were negotiating with a dealer I would expect $10-12K off minimum before negotiations even began considering the current market and Stellantis being an absolute dumpster fire at the moment.
