The LC200 is a serious machine. When I met with the engineers in Nagoya, they said it is the strongest Land Cruiser ever built, frame, axles, suspension, transfer-case, etc.
I will say that the LR4 has some performance advantages (rear locker and height-adjustable suspension) and a superior...
Agreed. The XT-1 is not yet a replacement for the best from Canon and Nikon. The new 5D also raises the bar on resolution to the next galaxy.
The XT-1 is a perfect travel camera, and for me, it is brilliant on the motorcycle.
I feel it is also important to note that the XT-1 is their first...
The limited battery life is a minor complaint with the XT-1, so it does benefit from the battery grip. However, my main goal with this camera is compactness, so I just bring extra batteries (which are small). If someone was using this camera for studio work, the grip would be required...
I deleted most of the mental breakdown.
This thread is about the Apple Watch, not about if you like Apple. If you don't like Apple, why even rant in a thread about a product you wouldn't buy? Maybe you just like the attention? ;)
Dig the bag. I use a small Filson backpack with a padded intert. All the Fuji stuff fits, along with my iPad and accessories. I can also fit the XT-1 kit in a tan kbag on the moto. Compact for sure
It works fine for jumping. Have done it dozens of times. Press and hold the right button on the monitor.
The 85amps solenoid does not limit jumping. Keep the batteries joined for about a minute and then turn the motor over.
Again, you are assuming that other devices are better. Everything has flaws, but I have NEVER had an Apple product fail me on seven continents, from the South Pole to the Amazon basin. Apple products are tightly integrated and that saves me time. Every device is the same sandbox. Remember, we do...
Highly exaggerated comment there. Would it be possible for you to have a measured, reasoned response for once?
We primarily use Apple products because of the functionality and reliability. The units also have excellent resale value, so the cost of ownership has proven to be lower than PCs. As...
No, new 461s are not available in the US. We needed to test the professional in South Africa.
However, it is now possible to import 25 year old 461s. The really interesting G to import will be the mid 1990 463s with the 300 TD.- the best of the G-Klasse IMHO
I can buy all of these trucks, but never drive them on US soil :) The best option is the little shell company in Joburg. . .
Alternately, a variance of each of these vehicles is available in north America, just older configurations (25-years) or deviations to the drivetrain listed...
I agree, and why we focused on cross-continent travel as the testing consideration, not recreational fourwheeling. Nothing wrong with technical trails, but it was not a major consideration in the testing outcome.
Also agree on the G-Wagen. I drive one every day.
The result of this test was not...
I agree.
4WD performance was considered, but not more than other critical factors (i.e., it was weighted equally).
Understandably, the NA mindset for remote travel will always favor 4WD performance, as our distances are much shorter (generally) and the routes more difficult (generally). For...
