    AEV Savegre wheels

Yeah - When this set of tires wears out, I'm going to be going with a completely different wheel/tire combo. I need to go with at least 16" wheels so that I can do the Tundra brake converison on my Tacoma. I want to go with these AEV Savegre wheels (black) and Toyo Open Country M/T's - size...

    AEV Savegre wheels

NICE!!! Thanks! ...I thought I had looked everywhere. There is a center hole. All those pics have the center cap in place. I have manual hubs, so I definitely need a center hole!

Coleman Hot Water On Demand - Review

UPDATE: I picked up my new Coleman HWOD from REI yesterday. I returned the 1st one due to water leaking internally from the heater (see previous posts). I came home, tried it out, and there is NO LEAKAGE on the new unit! REI was super easy to deal with. I'm still liking the HWOD system, and am...

    AEV Savegre wheels

Toyota Application? In the Winter 2009 issue of Overland Journal, it said that AEV was going to be releasing their Savegre Wheels and expanding the applications to include Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, 4Runner and Tacoma. Meaning that in addition to the Jeep bolt patters (5 x...

Organized, lightweight took kits on GL Auctions

...Ummmmm - well I didn't even pay $0.01 for mine. It was about to get thrown away, and I intercepted it. I would not pay $500 for it simply because of how much it weighs when full of tools. This particular tool set is what I keep in my garage. It's great for that! IMO, the way I have my tools...

Do you mean the Fuel Filter, or the Fuel Pump Filter? ...I replaced the fuel filter about 8K miles ago. I did order a new fuel pump filter with the new pump.

    FJ62 - Fuel Pump Replacement

Got the gas tank out today. Not that difficult since my gas tank had a drain plug, and I was able to get all the gas out of it. I do suspect that it will be more difficult to get it back in, though... I thought that when I disconnected the 2 main fuel lines, disconnected the filler neck, and...

    FJ62 - Fuel Pump Replacement

Last Saturday, I drove my FJ62 around running errands in the morning. It ran fine. My wife and I went back out in the evening to drive to dinner for our anniversary. The FJ62 started (took a little longer than usual to start), seemed to run fine. I pulled it out of the garage and drove about 20...

    Overheating, what would cause this???

LOL - and according to the FSM, the Radiator Cap is the next-to-last thing you should check... YOU CHEATED! :D ...but I'm glad you got it sorted out, and I'm glad it was something easy and simple (and cheap)!

Organized, lightweight took kits on GL Auctions

Most of the tools in my kit are S-K Hand Tools with other assorted name brand items like Vise-Grips, Robo-Grips, and Crescent mixed in. I'd say high quality - but not exactly Snap-On...

    Overheating, what would cause this???

According to the Factory Service Manual (FSM) this is the order that you should troubleshoot (FJ62): Engine Overheating: Fan belt loose or missing - Adjust or replace belt Debris on radiator or condenser - clean / repair as necessary Hoses, water pump, thermostat housing, radiator, heater...

    Overheating, what would cause this???

There are many things that *COULD* cause this. It could be something as simple as an air bubble in your radiator, a bad fan clutch, or you could have a cracked head, or blown head gasket. You need to do some more troubleshooting. It could have been a complete fluke... My FJ62 did this once...

**NOT LIGHTWEIGHT** I don't know where you/they got that from! I have one of these kits (not this EXACT same one, but very VERY close), and I dread it every time I have to pick it up! These suckers are heavy!

    Ironman 4x4 Dual Battery Kit

Bump! Does anybody know anything about this Ironman 4x4 dual battery kit? I can't really find any reviews online... I really like this kit - but I'm torn between taking a chance on this one or getting the National Luna kit which has worked great for tons of ExPo'ers.
