Great looking rig, so much potential. Really transforms with paint.
Where was the hour meter located on yours? I called a dealer with one for sale and he said there wasn’t one...but he probably didn’t notice it.
Great build, I just looked up this thread wondering if there was an update.
Have you heard of quadvan here in Portland? They do tons of 4x4 conversions on brand new E series vans. As a result they have lots of brand new takeoff front ends for sale cheap. So for not much money you get brand new...
These things are so sweet. I had an ambo and then a chinook, but the ERV is what I really want. It might be just a foot or two longer than I’d like, but oh well. What is the bumper to bumper length? That box height is great too. Going from the 64” ambo to the 6’+ chinook was great. What’s the...
Please do! In the past some people got nitpicky on what a van really is, but ambos certainly are. Feel free to post other cool stuff that’s van-like. We’re all here for the free entertainment and I’d rather see a few cool, random posts than nothing at all...
$9k seems like top dollar. It is real nice though. Here’s another one in bend for $2800. Could buy a lot of extras with the $ difference.

Can’t please em all... just saying, that bbq table should’ve been more “tactical” with p cord and Molle slots and that ambo wouldve gone for premium $$. Or, fancy butcher block with a resin pour. Depends which trend you’re following.
Maybe I’m sensitive to ambo half-assery since my old ambo was...
Haha. I hadn’t really noticed but yeah it’s a pine board cut in half and one of the ends facing out is cut with saw burn and the other is rough. Like, at least sand it and throw a coat of finish on if you’re going to feature that as your brand new BBQ table...? It’s gonna get gross, quick.

Funny you swapped away from the 7.3. I did the same thing when I sold my ambo and bought a v10 chinook. I appreciate the quieter engine and no cloud of diesel in the driveway, wafting into the house...! Everyone gets hung up on “needing” the 7.3, but I think it’s a pain to live with if you don’t...
