Curious how that hatch is working out? I'm looking to replace the temporary cover on my Chinook where the AC was. I'm leaning towards the cheaper, less functional square of clear acrylic up there. Those hatches look real nice though.
My back ladder is broken, and I'm considering just fully...
Yeah, it was small inside. It's all relative though, as I was coming from my ambulance that was about 5'-6" inside. Camper seemed nice, I didn't try the beds as the new owner was getting ready to drive away.
Looked a lot like this, maybe with a different back sunken/cellar/step part:
That’s a nice rig. I’d like some kind of slightly smaller F350 4x4 with a box on the back.
I think most prefer the vans for the better turning radius and shorter overall length. Trucks are easier to work on, especially with a huge diesel shoehorned in.
4x4 vans command a huge premium, I...
Wow, you've been busy. Good luck with the build and that electric system...! Would've been nicer if they left a little more room in that battery box, for sure. Nice to see all that wasted space behind the backboard getting reclaimed.
Have a fun road trip and keep the pics/updates coming.
Great. I think the tool chest cabinet is a good compromise of time & money. I like the idea of using one for a fridge, like you've done.
Here's that thread I started. I put one of your pics in there...
I just happen to have these tabs open. They're for road cases, but might be similar to what you're looking for. I plan on using them with 1/2" plywood to build some RV cabinetry.

Good to hear! I started a thread about tool chests/filing cabinets and there were some mixed thoughts but not a whole lot of experiences. I’m keeping an eye out for something halfway decent on Craigslist.
Thanks for the feedback based on actual experience! No doubt metal drawers will rattle, but maybe not that bad? Please keep us posted. That looks great with the wood and stainless.
Van & RV project. Some water & body damage, needs work.

The front area of the econoline is pretty simple, but I'd still want something slightly molded. Vinyl with then a removable carpet isn't a bad idea. Those are for sale for $95 on amazon.
Ah, tapering the materials at the edges makes sense. Did you cut out where the seats bolt, or does that get compressed with the foam? Not sure how mine is setup. The 20 year old green RV carpet needs to go. Not that bad, but not that great... Do you have a good source for your vinyl? I want...
Looking good. So what is the order of the stack of materials in the front from metal to vinyl? I’m looking to rip out the old carpet in the cab of my chinook. It’s got a 1” lip from cab to back plywood. What do you think he max amount is that you can raise up the front area and still have the...
