    Ammo can idea thread

First aid kit. Just looking for a red cross sticker for it (before I decide to paint one on). The other side will have an operational "wine in a box" bladder in it. (lol) I also have one with Coleman lantern it.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

OLRubicon - Great pic but I have to ask about your Jeep? What tire size and lift do you have? It looks just right to me!

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Thanks Greg. One nice thing about these seats is that the bottoms are adjustable for height. I wasn't sure I wanted leather for my TJ but having gone through all 4 seasons now I have no complaints at all. Here's how they turned out in my TJ. The installation, brackets, etc. was pretty...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I replaced the seats in my '95 XJ with a set out of a '03 Hyundai Tiburon. I made the same swap about a year ago in my '03 TJ. I like them so much I found a set for my XJ as well.

    Home Built Trailer ...First Project

97kurt - Re fenders, I modified a set and it was quite easy. The fender width worked out fine in my case but I was prepared to by 3 fenders and cut one up to use for widening the other 2 if I had to (I've done that before & it cuts down on the welding). The fenders cost $20 each and no doubt...

    Offroad teardrop build

"Some assembly required". (lol) That's the best way! Good luck with your build. You're off to a great start!

    New here, expedition trailer question

Basically yes so starting with a properly built frame, axle, suspension, etc. would go a long way toward solving that problem. I'm not sure what the licencing requirements for home made trailers are in California but that should solve that concern too. The requirements in Ontario are...

    New here, expedition trailer question

No offence but if you decide to teach yourself to weld, and I have no problem with that, you shouldn't start with a trailer.

    Home Built Trailer ...First Project

Thanks capnjackcanon. That's a bit bigger than I was thinking of but it's worth considering. I see that they don't ship to Canada but I'm sure there's a supplier here with something similar.

    Home Built Trailer ...First Project

Thanks. That's a source I hadn't thought of ... and free is always good! Love the flap door too.

    Home Built Trailer ...First Project

Looking good! We're at a similar stage with our builds and I'm currently wrestling with water tank etc. options. Sorry if I missed it but where did you source your tank?

    PCO6's Trailer Build

Thanks Brian. The only body panel that I have fastened to the trailer so far is the tailgate skin. The rest of the panels are ready to attach but I am still working on various items and it's much simpler to do most of them before I attach the rest of the aluminum. The panels are currently...

    PCO6's Trailer Build

I’ve made a bit of progress in the last week or so. Picking up where I left off, I added a small extension to the rear bumper for it to line up with the running board. I then welded the slits I cut into the fenders shut. This really firmed them up. I installed the fender on...

    campsite pics..lets see um

At the races at Mosport a few weeks ago. It rained all weekend. Had to leave the unfinished trailer ( http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/148123-PCO6-s-Trailer-Build ) at home.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I built a tailgate table for my TJ recently and finally got to use it this past weekend. It just slips on over the tailgate - no fasteners. The bracket is rubber lined to protect the paint.

    PCO6's Trailer Build

I finished the left side running boards today, although I'm not sure if that's the right name for them. They are strong enough to stand on. I don't plan to do that but I'm sure someone will! This is the front one. As mentioned, the 1”x1” square tube is from an old BBQ stand...

    PCO6's Trailer Build

Thanks Rutdigger. I need to put a roof on it like yours! ... maybe on my NEXT build.

    PCO6's Trailer Build

Thanks for the comments guys. I completed most of the tailgate today. I had to make a catch plate to bolt to the rear post for the latch to grab. I started with a piece of 1”x1.5” angle iron and basically cut away all but what I needed for the catch. I then bent the catch...
