A properly implemented electric fan setup will work fine and be more reliable than the viscous unit. The people that have had bad experiences have not implemented proper OEM level electric fan system. There is no problem with air flow. There are vehicle using electric fans with many time more...
Sorry, you are right. My mind read you wanted the tubeless part number.
I'd be interested to see if there is any actual difference in the rims.
Personally, I would not run tubes. The quality of tubes these days is horrid.
I'm suggesting leaving the stock airbags and compressor and setting it up to run the compressor with your own switch and manual inflate/deflate the airbags. Airlift does a nice gauge with two needles and valve to inflate and deflate two systems. That is all you need.
Does AB sell the magic box separately? This would allow other options such as buying a different brand of struts (for coils) or changing the air springs to a manual control. Manual control would probably be my choice. You can still adjust height as desired but lose all of the finicky computer...
No, the cap has a vent. What happens is the pump starves as the suction line can't flow fast enough and at the same time the pump moves what it can through the return. This causes the reservoir to overfill and dump fluid everywhere.
I have. I used a closed cell foam insulation layer first and then an open cell vinyl covered foam on top of it. There are a variety of choices. I went to a local shop that builds custom interiors to get the materials. They also have a special spray adhesive designed specifically for foam...
Try running synthetic ATF fluid. The regular stuff gets really thick in the winter and the pump gets starved from its suction. This is especially true for some of the layouts where the suction line runs half way across the country and back.
Is this your own experience or are you just spouting internet wheeling advice? I ran the TrXus for 7 years and well we have this thing called winter and I know others that run them as well. They are quite good in the snow. On the road, they are as well behaved as any other all season.
