It "should" be built to a lower price point, IMO. Mid 20s base model to high 40s optioned out. It should not be a luxury vehicle. Land Rover has lost its way.
If buying a long block (or short block), get the 4.6 It would be insane to spend that kind of money and not do it.

They are a simple, easy to work on motor. Can you be a little more specific as to what you are concerned about? They are an engine, you change oil filters and belts. Filters are available locally. Other parts from Land Rover parts suppliers.
