Thanks, guys! It's a lot of work, but it's fun to get everyone's reactions and kinda relive the adventure while editing. We have a new episode coming out tomorrow all about the feryy crossing from Baja to Mailand Mexico.
Thanks, man! We just posted the last of our Baja videos on our youtube channel and the sea of Cortez ferry crossing video will be coming soon if you care to check it out:)
This link will take you to our Baja playlist on youtube:

Thanks. We are really trying to improve at our filming editing. It's a fun learning process.
I did figure it out in the last episode. The shocks were being pulled down too far when the front end dropped out. Bilstein says I have the right shocks for my application, so I think that the droop...
Hi All!
My wife and I are traveling from California to Panama and producing a vlog. We just finished posting the last of our videos from Baja and I figured they may be helpful/entertaining to anyone considering a Baja trip of their own. Stay tuned for episodes from mainland Mexico and Central...
Nicaragua has been fun.
We avoided the bulk of the Semana Santa Weekend by camping in the hills. Not a bad place to chill and get some video editing done:)
We picked up our friend Lindsey from the airport and headed to Somoto Canon. She got to sleep in the guest house.
The canyon was a lot of...
25 years old criteria is so that i can import the vehicle to the USA
If I dont figure a way to get a 75 then an 80 series is on the list of vehicles available in the USA that I would consider. The reason I would like a hzj75 is the simple diesel engine, long production run, and global...
Thanks for the input esh.
I'm sure I'll be happy most of the time with the Hz. I drove a pickup with 22re for many years. Not too fast, but it kept rolling and that's more important.
I have seen a lot of 70 series in Nicaragua, but I can't purchase here because I am not a citizen. There were a...
Thanks for the input zimm.
The lack of power is the one thing I'm not thrilled about when it comes to the land cruisers. I'm fine with not driving fast. I rarely use 5th gear in central America. But I would like to pass the overloaded trucks driving 10mph down the highway with out needing a 5...
Hi Jack
I did use a "Fixer" at the Guatemala/El Salvadore border. Because of where we were in Guatemala when we decided to continue further south we decided to cross at the western crossing even though we were told it was the more dificult one. We started off not using a fixer, but changed our...
Sorry if I'm being stupid here, but why shouldn't you fly a drone over a highway? I don't own a drone, but I do vlog and am considering a drone purchase soon. Just curious why this is such a bad idea for future knowledge. I guess if you loos control for some reason you may cause an accident?
Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like the HZJ75 has come to the top of my list.
So far in my research, it is possible to purchase and export a vehicle from Guatemala, but it is complicated, involves lawyers and a 1-3 month waiting period. So, Panama is looking like a better/easier place to...
Solid answer FrenchieXJ.
I have many of the tools he carries (at least the ones specific to my vehicle/camper) If I'm fixing something on the trail I generally think of it as being temporary, so I can go back to solder and heat-shrink things later. On the trail, I'll wrap wires and tape them.
The active volcano "Volcan Masaya" is very cool. We went at night and would recommend the same for anyone else considering it. You can reportedly camp at the entrance gate afterward, but we chose to go back to a campsite that we had already been to at lake Apoyo (not too far away). We felt OK...
Thanks for all the input guys. I will continue to learn about the 1hz and the 75 series.
I'm also learning about my ability to purchase and export vehicles from various Central American countries and what it takes to get it imported to the USA. The current idea is to purchase one in Guatemala...
Nice. I had a feeling land cruiser enthusiast would be happy to offer opinions:)
Keep em coming! and let me know what you think about engine options. I would think the HD-t, but I see a lot of people have gone with the Hz
Upland80, I have been getting mixed info on this. If the vehicle is 25...
