On the XV-JP, the overhang is just a couple of inches above the cab. With everything solidly mounted, there's no issue with contact.
However, there is no good way to ever clean the area, which probably doesn't matter, as you can't much see it, either. More of an issue, and worth considering...
It'd be really nice if they did. And though I've not heard anything, it might be sensible . . . Hino brought back their Low Cab Forward truck to the US market a couple of years ago after their truck and the Ford/International and UD LCFs went away last decade. (I can't remember whether it was...
I totally understand. But along with Maninga, and contrary to Mog's preference, I'd most like the option of having someone with appropriate facilities and labor put the raw box together for me, and if that could happen, I'd certainly be ready to accept:
-- a box sized to fit into a container...
Many of us know your reputation, and if you think these would be good panels for an expedition truck, I'll want some.
However, I saw on the website that there are also dry cargo van boxes on offer, and wonder if that means that you will, or at least could, manufacture a complete box from the...
Not too rare, I don't believe, but certainly worth any link or contact information you might have.
Good memories. This is exactly the same configuration as the first Mog I every drove, wet behind the ears and thus a little dismayed it topped out at 48 mph. The 404s are pretty brilliant off-road...
No $150 kilobucks? Sigh. Cancel the new S-Class, dear. (Though, sadly, there may be that much in the truck. I've been afraid to hit the "SUM" button for many years now.)
Still, no one would be better to inherit the truck. The number of us holding world-class curmudgeons like Waldorf in proper...
Hey, I've got trees and grass on mine. And my graphic is made up of about 6,000 little pieces. That's gotta be worth more than a plain ol' wrap, fer sure.
At one point, it seemed like all the models would get 4WD, but at the current time, it doesn't appear you can have it on the cab chassis units. What I've read was that orders have been strong and MBz production is limited by parts they need to get from outside suppliers. Apparently, any 4x4...
Paul would fiberglass it for sure. It's his job; it's what he does. ;)
So, wait . . . is your proposal that I buy another Jeep Wrangler, one that's really, really close--year, color, mods, concept--to the Jeep I already have!? Good grief, we'd take them somewhere and look like the Bobbsey...
Yep, we may generally be chauvinistic Yanks, but we do so admire your camper window alternatives. :sombrero:
I, for one, will be delighted with any information you can pass on. Thanks.
Thanks for the very nice compliment. I don't know whether you've been reading about Sprinter 1 (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/19224), Sprinter 1.5 (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/113102), or Sprinter 2 (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/121227), but...
Statistics show I can't argue with you there. It's pretty gruesome overall. The April Consumers Reports auto issue has Chrysler 23rd, Dodge 25th, Jeep 27th, and Fiat 28th of 28 brands it ranked on a combination of road test score and predicted reliability. (However, fully realizing that...
That gigantic windshield, along with the matching gigantic side windows, is one of our favorite things about a Sprinter. It really pays off in the mountain scenery, where the vistas they make possible are about as good as you can get looking out the front of any vehicle.
But you're right about...
Indeed, negative comments about vehicles for sale by ExPo members are specifically not allowed under the Use Agreement, so regardless of personal opinion, criticisms shouldn't be posted. Now, whether these particular comments are negative to this Jeep or just reasonable general observations...
I'm renting a Promaster conversion (Winnebago Travato) tomorrow night so I can check out the chassis. Sprinters have lots of good points, but the Promasters are significantly cheaper, and the 285 hp Pentastar gas engine is in about a zillion minivans and other Chrysler products and thus should...
From an overlanding point of view, the two '04s are a valuable find for having no ULSD requirement, thus allowing worldwide travel. The cabs are tighter, though, than the new design.
But the highest and best use is almost certainly for wildland fire-fighting. Given the drought over most of the...
Well, gang, I can tell you that, after the owner and the dealer, there's no one who will be more delighted than me if they get their $156K Buy It Now price for that XV-JP.
BTW, if any of you are thinking it's just what you need, **PLEASE** talk with me first. I can give you a such a deal...
