on my wife's CRV all those features are easily disabled and turned off ie the braking and lane departure and the following too close etc. On the other had I see idiots texting and driving and just driving with their heads up their asses and I am glad they have auto braking :).
man I am the opposite of some of you people, my first vehicle was a 1938 Plymouth and I have had a heck of a lot of different vehicles since my first one and as much as I think it would be nice to have some of my old cars and trucks back there is no way I would go backwards. I set the cruise on...
I just test drove a 2019 Tundra limited and while it was nice it did not make me want to buy it. It was well equipped and after rebates and what not ~$40,000 which seemed like a decent price but visually the F150's look 10X better to me.
I have run the ko2 in 34x10.5-17 and also 3 different tires ie Toyo and coopers in 285/75-17 and the 285/17-17 are considerably bigger than the 34x10.5-17 and 255/80-17's.
Don't confuse sound and noise.
because for some people me included a V8 has the right sound, maybe it is an age thing I am pushing 60. No 4,or 6 cylinder no matter how much faster gives that nice v8 sound. I run and bike along the road and there is no nicer sound than a V8 rumbling on by...
that is what i am worried about. Seems that is more oft the case than the other way around. A little honesty up front would be great ie "Sorry but we are on the road and will not be shipping for 6 weeks" etc.
bottom gets colder and also you need it pretty full to really work properly or at least that is my experience. I have to thermometers in mine and have it set at 32* (I did calibrate mine) so if yours was not calibrated i can see how the sweet spot is 28* on the digital read out. It took me a...
it is the amount of line on the spool that is the problem. when you really need your winch you don't always have the luxury of repositioning your jeep or even the anchor point. In that photo even perfectly spooled it is almost touching the supports. It does look pretty tho.
So wait until you have to make a long pull at an angle and can’t control, how nice that line spools on you will have issues with it hitting the supports. I’ve watched so many guys have that problem
no the way you get more pulling power is to have less wraps on the drum. ie a 10K winch only gets 10K of pulling power is with only the first wrap on the drum. The more wraps on the drum the less pulling power. so the shorter the winch line is to begin with the less line that will be wrapped...
I agree go bigger. my little trailer has a king size mattress and it is nice to have the room. It is easy to set up and take down. think I will sell it tho and get a hard sided A frame trailer. if two adults thing about getting the double doors as so much nicer getting in and out during the...
just saw this thread. Nice write ups Jacob. I am the guy who sold you the aev lift. We got out a fair amount this year, hope you did to. take care jeff
most tire manufacturers will tell you if the cords are showing they are trash. I would use that as a spare tho no problem. if you have road hazard they for sure 100% replace that tire.
I have run both those tires ie the RT's in 35/12.5-17 and the AT2's in 285/75-17 (and 35/12.5-17) and none are bad choices. the AT2's are better winter tires and a bit smoother on the highway. It is stupid what Toyo wants for the MT's these days.
